There is, but Asus might be hesitant due to increased competition in the segment.

Oh i think it has its place but the market was almost empty when they introduced the first model.

The market for 14 inch gaming laptops was pretty empty, when alienware made the m14x. After that it got fairly saturated fast. That being said, when the 14 inch rog came out, it had some good benefits and a few drawbacks. The cooling system was top notch, and the hardware was good, but the screen res was too low to effectively compete with some of the higher end models. It also forced the other manufacturers to fit in much larger gfx cards. IIRC, 14 inch gaming laptops were usually with a 650m at the time. All that being said, I think Asus has a place with this guy, and saying the market is too saturated is a cop-out. The same argument could be said about 15 & 17 inch gaming laptops.

I would release one, 1080p ips screen, quad core cpu, 860m with the Asus cooling system it would be a very attractive machine.

Indeed. I know my alienware 14 was awesome. The screen was nice, and the 765m held its own pretty well. The cooling system on the g46 is nicer, but the turn off was the screen resolution

I'm still hoping there's another rog coming out now that a refresh of the 15" arrived (G56JR). They must release an updated version of this. Justice for gamers who wants Rog 14" XD

Asus seem quite content to go after specific markets atm and only release in others if development for an existing part can be put in cheaply.
