i really don't like that![]()
i've tried it ... clocks gets stuck

Ya I thought when I undervolted it to .01 and it was just as stable as ever, something was wrong
lol
@SwissyJim, yes its all seemlessas long as you have powerplay enabled in CCC's settings. Well Batterysaver when not plugged in (Fn + Spacebar a few times) then High performance when plugged in, the computer will do the rest

Sorry but there is NO i mean NO! chance to use or even set 0.0X V on this card. One interesting man once lived, his name was G. S. Ohm. He was physicist and he formed one interesting law "The Ohm's law" and this law speaks about dependence of voltage, electrical resistance and electric current. For those they do not know that: the resistance is relative constant when we comparing the one graphic card at one notebook with same power plan settings. And now the magic: If you reduce core voltage from 0.95V to 0.02V you will reduce your electric current to 2% of the initial value. And that your card cant handle, because even copper wire has its own resistance and part of the voltage is changing to heat. Second thing is the electrical power there is another pattern and it says something about multiplication of voltage and electric current. So yeah you can increase your battery life with decreasing voltage on your graphic core but there are the limits, physical limits of electronic components which are composed of notebook and minimal electrical power that is needed for, (not stable) but working state. There is only chance to get those values at this machine, but you will need superconductor and temperature about zero kelvin (about -273.15°C). And finally explanation of your voltage readings in softwares: All these softwares are reading values from bios and there is set your value (0.0x V) but graphic card ignores your value because its software even hardware parts wasn't designed for this values. And that's one hell of a luck you got, because if its works and you really set this voltages on your core you will brick your notebook in seconds. I rest my case, your honor.
Sorry for long post and English. -
@oqix: I think we already drilled it into his head already that 1.15v and 0.95v are hardwired and you cannot alter that with vBIOS editing.

I made 2 new versions of my vbios for normal use and for overclocking. you will find the newest bios and all tools you need to flash in my package.
have fun and dont forget rep power

EDIT:
THX for all how wrote me!
if i count all downloads of every version i released, we have more that 400 and not one error!! (i dont count the betas i uploaded). so dont believe the downloadcounter... its outdated
EDIT: Catalyst Tweaks updated -
question can i overclock the one that has 1.05v perfomance 700/1000 to 800/1000 with out any issue so it will run more cooler when playing games with that o/c or it must be with 1.15v?

The 5870M in the G73 is hardwired to 0.95V and 1.15V and if you select a voltage that differs from these two then it will automatically change the voltage to the nearest possibility which will be either 0.95V or 1.15V depending on what voltage you have selected.
It will show as the voltage you have selected in windows but wont actually run at that voltage. So far there has been no way to change the voltage and no one has tried a volt mod yet from the information on the forum.(not recommended!)
Your other option is just to load up OD2/0.93VBios from Chastity's Driver and Application Reference and flash it to give you 100/150 battery clocks and select these for normal usage that is what I do and it works well. -

^^yes but the GPU clock tool will always raise the voltage to 1.15 regardless, the vbios w/ powerplay least is capable of lowering to the same clocks but keeping the voltage to .95

These are really nice vbios, the gpu and cpu fan actually cycle off and on now because my temps get so low.
side note: did furmark always used to report the lowest temp of the 3 sensors? seems kind of misleading since it there's a 5c+ difference. -
If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.
So why bother typing in foreign language, just do it in English once since you'll have to do it anyway. -
The Update of my BIOS doesn´t work (btw its BIOS 211 i guess an you have to type in "AFLASH 2"
and what do you mean with the "biosfilename"? what is it or what do i have to type in? -
You can see what files are on the flash drive by typing DIR when you boot the flash drive into DOS. -
Ahh...
Perfect and thx!
