Yea I set it to defer feature updates, I have 1809 on my MSI and it sucks.
But my concern is that windows 1607 was EOL since april 2018. Usually windows versions that are out of date complain and "force" the update to the latest windows build, but this is not happening in my case probably cause 1809 is in such a broken state.
So I am concerned that the Asus utilities could end up breaking in future updates w/o asus supplying updates.

Thanks for reminding me I can defer haha.

Well I can verify that windows 1809 does not work on my Asus laptop. The ROG gaming center fails to detect the cpu. And windows is basically unusable. So I was able to revert back to windows 1607 build 14393.2214.

Would be interesting if there is anyone out there that has a different result.

Well I got 1809 working seems the Intel ME component needed to be reinstalled after upgrade. Seems to be working now.
