I got my laptop back yesterday with the hinge fixed, and apparently the entire LCD cover replaced.
Since someone at one point asked how this process goes, here's how it went in my case. I'm in Hungary.
19 July: I send an RMA notification to ASUS through their website
20 July: ASUS requests reference photos, which I provide
21 July: The RMA is accepted
22 July: I fill another form on ASUS's website to arrange a pickup for the 24th
24 July: The courier calls me and asks if it's ok if he comes on Monday, as he forgot to stop by when he was around
27 July: The courier picks up the computer
30 July: ASUS emails me that they have received the computer and that it will take 2-20 days to fix
30 July: ASUS sends me an SMS that they have received the computer and that it will take two weeks to fix
31 July: The company doing the actual repair for ASUS sends me an email that they have received the computer and that it will take between one and one and a half weeks to fix
4 August: Both ASUS and the repair company email me that the repair has been carried out ("LCD cover replaced. Test OK.")
6 August: The courier brings back my laptop
All in all, even with the courier messing up his route, this went pretty smoothly.

I have i7 4510U IPS non-touch matte screen. I updated to windows 10. All fine for two days. Today MS decided to update the track-pad driver. Now two finger scrolling is only backwards
. Not possible as before ...
also as I see Windows 10 keep installing some games and twitter app and few others. I choose uninstall and after few hours I see them as recently added .. weird thing and I must investigate where do I choose not to have these apps on my laptop .... -
@ HTWingNut
Thx for reply. Well, can u suggest to me a good 256 gb ssd for the laptop?? -
Double click the touchpad icon in the systray. That should open the ASUS Smart Gesture settings. Under the Two Fingers column, check the "Content moves reversely with your finger's direction" box. Apply changes. That should do it.

What devices without drivers do you see under device manager?
Supposedly, the drivers are provided by Win10, but there are two (2) drivers available from ASUS, see below.

Thx so much for the reply. I have some hardware without drivers

You will need to install [Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Driver].
Do you have any external devices connected to the PC? If yes, then please unplug them to avoid confusion to yourself.pavko likes this. -
Thanks so much for the fast reply.
Where can I find the drivers? -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Have you tried the drivers for Win8.1? -
No. Are good??
-
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Since ASUS did not release any Win10 drivers, looks like you have no choice. -
I suppose yes
-
You can always download the Windows 10 versions directly from Intel or http://www.station-drivers.com/

10 and 8.1 share a similar platform. They may work, but there's certainly a chance the 8.1 drivers won't work under 10.pavko likes this. -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Yup, that's correct.
Do check the drivers on station-drivers.com but it may be slightly difficult as you may need to find the right chip model in order for some drivers to work. -
Exactly. Some drivers are installed from Windows but others one aren't recognized and the old for windows 8.1 aren't good.
-
Can someone explain to me because I can't start from usb to make the installation from usb?
I start with "esc" button pressed. -
Prostar Computer Company Representative
Go into BIOS and disable Secure Boot. (You may need to disable UEFI/enable CSM/legacy temporarily, also). -
Thx for the reply.
Nothing happen. Is "esc" (the first on top at left) the properly button to do it? -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Do an advanced restart to get into the bios.
-
Do It but, i don't know why, i cani't see my usb drive made with media creation tools.
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Have you checked all the boot options?
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Weird lag there, sorry for duplicate.
-
Secur boot and Cms Legacy yes. I haven't found Uefi.
Is "esc" the botton that i need to use to choose the boot drive? -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
What happens if you expand the 1st and 2nd boot device options?
-
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Which OS were you trying to install? If it's Win7 then you will need to enable disable UEFI and CSM as Prostar said.
But if you are installing Win8.x/10, then you don't need to disable the option.
Best to provide more details, or screenshots. -

And... i want change my ssd with another one more big.
After make a fresh installation and make the properly setup, how can clone (with a good result) my ssd??
There is a link with a guide that explain how change the ssd? -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Use recovery discs to restore the OS onto your new SSD. -
Hi Kevin, thx for reply.
Well but, at the moment, I still have not solved the problem. I can not start the installation from USB -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Was the USB flash drive made by MSI BurnRecovery utility? -
All is ok. It was for a wrong bios setup.
After a fresh installation, i have installed all the drivers correctly but i have two warning in the system peripherals. One is an "unknowed peripherals" and another one is a bus controller. I suppose one can be the card reader. -

Have you tried the intel chipset drivers? Also is the web cam installed?
-
Fixed one with chipset drivers. I never found drivers for webcam. Any suggestion?
And... is a good idea upgrade the bios?? -
after upgrading ram to 12G sleep mode doesn't work (wake up to black screen and hangs). no any other problems with ram. Any ideas?

I have two ram modules, both crucial. both are working fine on ux32vd and both have sleep problem with ux303ln

It's rare - and it may be unlikely here - but it could be a set of RAM that is not on the OEM QVL. Since you can verify the RAM works in another computer, you may need to go with another brand for the 303ln.pavko likes this. -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Webcam doesn't require drivers since Windows has built-in driver for it.
The last device could be ME device (management engine), but if you can provide the vendor & device ID for that particular device then you can find it on Google, or we can help you to locate the driver.pavko likes this. -
really thx for the reply even if, i'm honest, i don't have understood all
-
I have find the solution - if in the BIOS graphics ram set more than 256 then sleep mode is broken.

I installed a Samsung 850 Evo in my ux32ln & it works flawlessly. It's NOT the same controller as the 840 Evo so it doesn't have the same issue. It's state of the art & my laptop just flies with it. Mind u, I have two 840 Evos in my desktop, and since the latest bios all issues have been fixed. Samsung was committed to fixing it.

It's not the same NAND which is the biggest difference. It uses stacked layers of larger cells that are more durable.
-
Nobody can help me to fix the cam drivers?
@ poohbear300
I have installed an Evo 850 500 gb on my laptop right now but on my pc i have an 840.
What drivers i need to apply? I have the EXT0CB6Q and magician suggest me to install EXT0DB6Q.
Is a good idea?? Because i have read something about upgrade problems for more 840 ssd -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Magician should only suggest firmware compatible with whatever installed SSD you have.

Hey Guys, if you are experiencing consistent BSOD when booting up. You have incompatible RAM installed. Seems like this laptop is picky about the ram timing or something. I had to replace mine. it's not a hardware fault with the RAM. You can run memtest 10 times and not find any memory errors. It's kind of a quirky issue.
