Okay if anyone has any help whats so ever please post. I been dealing with this for the past couple days.

Okay so more in depth, I reformatted my computer to windows 7 for my Asus g50vt-x1. Previously it was windows vista.

The problem is whenever I listen to anything with a headset i hear a loud non stop ring noise. It only does it to headsets.
I have tested this on 4 different headsets and they are all the same.
No matter how loud my sound is the ringing is still the same.

I thought that it could have been my audio drivers. Which still might, however i have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and still have the same thing.

Maybe my audio isn't formatted correctly? Idk please help.

EDIT: I just reformated back to vista, However it is still doing the same thing. Im thinking I had bad drivers or something. However in vista the ringing noise goes away after I hear a file, but it comes back once I hear a noise. Like something as simple as opening a folder.

Please if anyone can help me plz respond

Can you try a different driver? Even an older one? If it keeps up I'd say that it was a hardware problem- soundcard or onboard sound issue.

iirc, it had something to do with improper grounding. when you had a USB device connected to the right side near the jack, it would have some leakage.

Yeah, it's improper grounding. I can actually hear my mouse through my headset if I use the USB port right next to the headphone jack.
