    Hi,

i just brought my Asus G51J.

I understand that you have to register your laptop at http://adw.asus.com/ for the one year Accidental Damage Warranty.

How about for the two year global warranty? Do i need to register it somewhere?

Also, the sticker on the laptop say that this is manufactured in October 2009 but i just brought this in Dec 25, 2009. Hence, which date will Asus follow for its warranty?

I brought my laptop from PortableOne. I am not sure if they are a authorized retailer. If the warranty date follows the receipt date, which is just a piece of printed A4 paper, then i could easily just create my own receipt and print out the receipt for any date that i want. Is this even possible? I did not receive any Asus-printed warranty paper with my purchase.

How do i activate my 2-year international warranty?

To activate your normal warranty, go to www.vip.asus.com and register for an account and follow the part to register your machine.

If you bought the machine brand new from a retailer, then your warranty date starts the day you purchased the machine. To register for the 1 year ADW you will have to mail ASUS a copy of your receipt and registration form.

I register for my ADW on the web site.

The website say they will send me a confirmation email but until now, i did not receive anything. It had been two days.

I cannot completed my registration for ADW if Asus did not send me the confirmation email.

    What should i do now???
