Hey guys, i'm new here, so if this is posted in the wrong section or something, please move it.
Well my problem, first off, is Asus not replying to my emails, i've put in quite a few complaints, and no reply, so I just decided to post this here.
Here is a copy of the email I sent them:

[Problem Description]
I have received this notebook as a gift a while ago, and as of late, my battery has not been charging.
I have done the usual things: Reinstall windows, Checked for physical defects, tried laptop without battery, tried with battery and no AC adapter, and such.
I have also read online that this could be a bios issue, so I went on the asus support website and flashed all of the available drivers. None of them work. according to some online support forums, bios 208 was the best choice, but i have not been able to locate that anywhere. I am currently running bios 218.
After trying all of those things, i decided to purchase a new battery and charger for my notebook. The notebook will run off of the AC adapter alone, and the battery alone. But currently, my battery is at 51% and is not charging.
If you have any suggestions as to what I can do to resolve this problem, or if you need any additional information, please email me.
If any of you guys here can help me, that would be awesome! or if you can point me in the right direction, that would be cool too.
Thanks anyways.

Download batterybar or a similar utility, and see what the wear level is.
If you let the battery drain a bit, does it charge back up to 51% and then stop? -
Thanks for the reply!
But I've tried batterybar, batterycare, and a couple of widgets here and there.
Now my battery is completely dead, and shuts off as soon as I unplug the AC adapter...
According to those programs, the battery isn't charging, since's there's no charge rate even with the AC adapter plugged in...
I find it hard to believe that this is a physical defect since the AC adapter and the battery can power the laptop on their own, but the AC adapter can't charge the battery...
Weirdest problem I have ever faced... -

It could be a problem with the power circuit in the notebook, if it won't charge the battery even when the computer is off.
