Greetings from Moscow - city :)
Few days ago I bought memory CORSAIR CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10 DDR3- 2x 8Гб, 1600 for my Asus N56VZ (4+2 Gb in stock). As far as I see lots of users have troubles with its usage. My system on both of official BIOS 211 and 215 versions couldnt see neither 1 ram plait, nor 2. When I plugged 1 old and 1 new plate of ram, BIOS could see it and work (4+8 GB).
So, I tried to use custom BIOS version and killed my BIOS chip. It had been changed onto new one and programmed via programmator (213 BIOS ver). You will see all details on screenshots.
Now it can see all memory, but the keyboard backlight on that version is not supported.
So, I gonna write to Asus support about my experience and I hope, they will combine support of 16 Gb ram and backlight too)

CORSAIR CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10 works fine on Asus N56vz with i7 no any custom BIOS required.

But it was not in my case.
In that thread someone said it depends on manufacturer of chips, that are used in RAM plates. So, i could not catch a luck with it.
