This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Can you lot confrim that what Chacer said does fix the issue? its making me lose my mind with all those random freezes, I think its either this or my HD is really dying

    Yup, i tried Chacer fix and i havent had a 'freeze' in almost 6 months..

    sorry to bump this old thread up, but switching to Windows 7 64bit has solved the freeze issue for me.
