So, is "Pending for Fulfillment" a good thing or a bad thing?

How do I even submit proof of purchase? I don't understand what they mean by "web confirmation page". Where do I find it? and by scan they just mean copy and paste right? Thanks.

I'm very sorry I've never done anything like this before, so I don't know what it means to send a scan of a webpage by email and I don't know what web page I need to scan. I've read through the pages and I've gathered that it means to printscreen? Which is making a copy of which is what I said, so I'm very confused now.

 

to scan, print it, then scan it back as an image. some people have claimed to use a screenshot (prnt scrn/print screen) but I personally don't trust doing it that way. the webpage==the email they send you that includes your order number. the page that confirms you ordered.

well i just sent a screenshot instead of prntscrn-->print-->scan-->send. i hope that isnt the reason they are taking so long. but still, i need to wait 1 more week b4 i complain, they did say 4-6 weeks.

 

I just sent them two PNGs, one of a screenshot of that confirmation or something and another of a picture I took of the bottom of my ASUS U81A + a Best Buy receipt next to it. I've been on pending fulfillment for months.

 

I have the same problem and it's not funny. At least someone else is seeing the same problem as I did. Anyone else have this experience or any thoughts on it? Is there someone we can contact?

 

Sorry, let me correct myself. It went from Pending for Fulfillment to Pending for Proof of Purchase.

I actually got fed up with waiting so i called asus. They said don't worry if you have received an email with a asus**** number crap, they said you will be receiving it. I dont understand it tho, why they tuggin us around w/ the pop pending fullfillment ... i hope asus didnt lie to me

It just switched me over to pending for proof of puchase as well. Have to give it to Asus for knowing how to upset their customer base..........

just to make sure tho, how exactly do i install it. keep vista installed, then when vista is logged on, i put disc in...then follow on-screen instructions? does it migrate my vista files (documents etc?) also, if not, is there any way to start off with a clean install of win7?

 

Been a month now since I sent in my proof of purchase and Asus still hasn't updated my status. It says, "pending proof of purchase" when I check. I've written them twice and gotten the same canned response of them being backed up by thousands of requests.

is that the email you recieved in ur inbox or when u sent them a request to inquire about the progress of ur upgrade?

if the former, how long has it been since u submitted. im pretty sure that u submitted urs after mine. i did mine on the 8/22.

 

I received that in my inbox about 36 hours after I made an inquiry about my 2 month old submission. I submitted mine the day I got my laptop. (8/11/09)

 

o really? hmm that means i should be getting a similar email hopefully with 1-2 weeks.

 

My email back was on 9/21/09. I purchased the U81-a BB version as one of the last of their closeouts. Can't believe it is already over 1 month but I want my free upgrade! This was definately one of the main reasons I went for the purchase..........

 

I submitted back on 7/10, and sent my proof of purchase in by fax. I checked last week, and the status was still "Pending for Proof of Purchase", so I resent my proof of purchase (Best Buy receipt) and web confirmation form by the scan and email method. As of today, I am still "Pending for Proof of Purchase."

What gives? Does anyone know how to get them to accept the PoP?

I cant seem to pass the serial verify step, clicked the option on the left in case it didnt pass it, i recieved an email later on

But idk what to do, just wait for asus to mail me again so i can complete the reg? Im tempted to just buy a family pack since i need one for my desktop aswell, but idk how this is gona go yet.

 

I had to do this - it took a few days.

As far as the status change, I hope that means it shipped since everyone seems to have had this happen to them.

 

But not everyone managed to get to the "Pending for Fullfillment" stage (including me).

 

I just got changed to Pending for Fulfillment, and there was a read receipt in my inbox for the email I sent 3 weeks ago.

 

Boo...Why is this so hard? We should all be getting our copies in the mail today! Now, we keep having to wait...Lets go Asus! Get your act together!

That's a very good question. I have been told by the Asus rep here that they have been told it will be "around $20" but there is no official word anywhere.

Has anyone here been contacted by Mentor Media about payment in the US or had an indication that their upgrade will ship?

Well if this is true, and if it uses the Asus store charge setup them im screwed, they dont take international creditcards, and the only us based creditcard is amex, what they dont take either. So i might just go the Family pack upgrade if this is the case.

Where did u read that? The upgrade option is available around the world and people are going to be paying for it from diffeent countries. I'm pretty sure they use the same system to sort everything out, so why would they not accept foreign credit cards?

 

Well i tried to buy stuff from the Asus estore (HD bracket and back plate) multiple times with different creditcards, never was able to, to the point i had to ask a friend on the US to buy it for me. Now im just wondering if they gona use the same 3rd party creditcard paying, if so i cant do anything about it, but if its different then it might be fine.

 

Credit cards suck cause your input must match with what the credit card company has. (i.e. floor numbers, e. n. w. s. lane, etc.)

I emailed a picture of the receipt from Best Buy in August, and my status was Pending on Fulfillment, then it changed back to Pending for Proof of Purchase
today!
Does anyone knows if that is accepted as a proof of purchase, an email with an attached pic of the receipt?
