for you people getting the rightside of the palm rest creaking, mine is rock solid. But my keyboard is flexing a bit in certain spots and im trying to find out how to get the keyboard off on my model.

Creaky plastic is annoying just like flexing keyboards.

Why put the sticker on the lid? i just wrote "asus" on the lid with my neon jiffy marker.

    LOL you guys are hilarious.

Justitia my sticker is on the same way as yours.

The sticker is put on by the reseller I believe.

Justitia quick question for you. Does your screen look dim in brightly lit rooms?

My screen looked REALLY dull today in the library, which is a newer library at my institution and has bright lights.

I'm pretty sure it's just the lighting, but dang, kinda bothered me a bit.

Yeah, it's normal for matte screens to wash out like that in bright lighting conditions...
Glossy screens are have less of a tendency to do that, but you get all the glare and stuff too from time to time...which sucks.

Yeah, in a bright room, the screen is not as vivid... but at night it is gorgeous... :)

As I get more and more used to the screen, the more I just love it... Today I was in my office and using my new Dell monitor which is so bright by comparison.. But now, despite its brightness, it is nowhere near as pleasing to my eyes... It just doesn't look natural... whereas the ASUS screen is very natural and comfortable to look at...

I am beginning to wind down on the stuff I have to configure... the main thing is to finish how to get everything configured right re: wireless so I don't keep getting these "Page cannot be displayed" pages when I surf....

I started a thread in the wireless forum... anyone who wants to help out will be more than appreciated... :)
