It would be awesome if this comes with 64bit windows. Seems pointless to offer 4GB and a 32-bit OS.

So what is the difference between the T9550 and the T9600 (2.66 vs 2.8)? That looks like the only difference between the C1 and D1 to me...

How do you think this laptop would compare with gaming and photoshop vs. the g50vt-x1?

It would be much better for photoshop (it has a lot better processor). However, the G51 has a much better graphics card, so it is much better for gaming.

its on gentech like tellaron said, but the videos still are the c1's. it seems stupid that they would put the 2.8ghz when i hear that the 3.0 or something has the same bulk cost.... also, why would it just randomly come out with no heads up?

    seems wierd...

Do you think you would notice the weight difference of this thing in your backpack vs. a g51? Or do you think they would feel about the same?

If it's N81Vp then it'll still have HD4650 unless the model name changed to N8xxxx.

Well now since its released, the N81Vp-D1. Is the processor Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2.80 GHz 6MB 1066 FSB 35W the only change to make it a new model? Thats the difference I noticed from C1. Can anyone else say whats upgraded or better?

Check Gentech's website in the post above yours. They have posted benchmarks and in-game videos to help give people a better idea how the ATI HD4650 performs.

Hey, all new to this forum got some questions for anyone that has one of these Asus N81VP-D1 notebooks. First, all the ones that I have seen have ddr2 ram. However, I found today that there are pre-orders at http://www.jr.com/asus/pe/ASU_N81VPD1/ that show the item having ddr3 ram. Is this the new model that is coming out or a misprint? If any of you have one, are there any drawbacks (such as the clicky mouse buttons) or heat issues with the newest model? Wanting to get a new lappy and am torn between this and the ASUS U80 < like the backlit keyboard does anyone know how well they really work? Anyway just thought that I would pass on this info or miss-info and see if any of you know about this or not. Thanks
