    f8 will not be out in october in the channel. if it does come in it will be a very very small shipment meant as samples. it may be out in november. There are no current plans to release it in october or even november.

    Do you mean it is gunning a December release date? I hope they release it mid november though..Do they have the units already, why not just ship them?..

    Just wondering if anyone has news of new model's or updated models that Asus is shooting to get out late Spring or early Summer. I am going into the Navy in March and figured i'd wait until after i got out to pick one up instead of before. Was looking at the F8sv-b1 or a1 as my choice if i went now.

    Asus should update most of their existing line to Penryn sometime during the first half 08, and Montevina updates (with new or just on existing models) will happen during late second to third quarter following Intel's platform launch currently set for May, if Asus follows their historical product trends.

    CES coverage showed some of the new Asus models to be introduced during first half 08, look on the NBR home page for the link.
