darn, I was having dreams about the 8600 GT in a 14' ASUS, the thing would have been so sexy if it had the GT I would have dressed it in Armani and taken it to my aunties wedding as my date.

damn portugese misprint, should have been taught how to interpret better :(

Well, the north american F8Sv-A1 is still confirmed to have the 8600M-GT, though we don't know any specifics about it.

    MSRP F8Sv (B1): $1,599
    MSRP F8Sv (A1): $1,399

Everytime I look at it, darn that's a cheap price...

Where are you getting the A1 price from? I haven't seen it that cheap...

What is the B1, and where did you find the A1 at $1399? Excaliber and Milestone still have the A1 at $1599, and no indication of any B1 model. I couldn't find the B1 through a Google search either...Cori, do you know something we don't?

I think cori was probably confused with the F3sv-A1 and F3sv-B1...

That makes sense too. The F3 isn't that great, compared to the Dell Vostro 1500/Inspiron 1520, its more expensive, worse performing, no custom configs, worse build, meh styling (they are all three rather dull, but the Inspiron offers custom colours).

Phantom: your sig is waaaay too big (as in height, its at least 75 px too tall).

F8Sv vs V2S: The V2S graphics card is pathetic. Its essentially been crippled, and gives about the same performance as the 8400GS, that you can find in the A8Sc....So its junk. The F8Sv has very impressive graphics performance, and very poor battery life (though that was expected). So its just above expectations. Plus, its an excellent deal. The V2S...is not. It costs the same as an MBP with student discount, and the MBP is better in every way....The Australian V2S, with the 8600GT, looks pretty promising, but its way more expensive, and available in Oz only, so its not really an option.

It's fine. It can be larger, if you wish, up to 300x125.
