I ordered September 10th.
One of the people online told me it was an offer they finished at the beginning of august. How true is this?

1-800-964-8321 is what dell has listed as the XPS customer service number. I think i will be calling it tomorrow.

Received my M1530 last Friday (Sept. 19th, The Netherlands). Came with the sleeve and a remote (no cloth, no headphones but they were also not on the order).
(My sales rep told me the sleeve also was not included in The Netherlands, but all owners on a Dutch formum got one so I exchanged a couple of mails with the rep. She persisted that is was not included. When I received the laptop, the sleeve was there, just as I expected.)Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -

I believe a few pages back it is mentioned that these accessories are still shipping in South America (I think the poster was from Brazil). -

I ordered in Austria on 24 August..Received it in 4 September..was shipped from Poland factory..with no cleaning cloth or case or earbuds. I called them today and they told me that those were sent free as a gift a long time ago and now the promotion is over. that`s all...i believe he knew about this because he response rapidly like..ahhh i know about this...so i believe others called..no chance

An M1530, it came with an xps dell black case which suprised me but is very nice and save's me getting one this weekend for storage. -
for the people who received the case sleeve, was it on the invoice at all? Because thats the only thing i was really hoping to get and expected and didnt, but i am in the US. The reps over email keep saying it wasnt in my order so i dont get it but im pretty sure people before who got all the accessories said they werent listed in the order either, they just came with the notebook.

no thats the odd thing hun, it wasnt on the invoice at all when i checked it online prior to delivery so i was kinda suprised to open the box and find it there.

Yea thats what i thought too, im pretty sure those items arent supposed to show up on it they just come with the laptop, but the customer service people from dell keep saying since it wasnt on the invoice they wont send it and ill have to buy it, although i dont even think u can buy most of the extra XPS accessories aside from maybe the earbuds

i placed the order on the 9/13 and it was delivered at a relative house on 9/19
As i'm not in the US for the time being, i don't know what are the acessories he received... and he hasn't mailed me yet to say that my laptop was delivered.
he'll be bringing my laptop to Mauritius in 2 weeks time. Then i'll know which acessories i've received -
just got my laptop yesterday - no accessories but i gave it a shot and tried calling today.
i explained that my salesperson had told me that the accessories would be included with my purchase but they were missing when i finally got them. i went on to explain that these accessories were what pushed me to really want to buy the laptop in the first place, so i just wanted an explanation of what was going on. i gave them the name of my salesperson as well as his extension.
after being on hold for a few minutes, the csr assigned me a case number and then transferred me to a manager. i explained the situation again and after much holding, she informed me that she would send out earbuds, a cd case, a cloth, and a sleeve. i wanted to confirm that the earbuds were creative ep630s, but she responded that they weren't (i was going to get cheap ones that usually come with cellular phones). so after even more holding, she finally comes back and tells me she's gone ahead and placed the order for the creative headphones that i wanted, PLUS she searched dell products to find a nice sleeve. i ended up having a choice between a solid black belkin sleeve or the belkin pixelated design one (a really sweet looking sleeve).
all in all, i ended up with all the accessories plus a nice conversation about my day, what i did, and what she liked to do in her spare time.
my tips if you're going to call:
be polite
give as many details as you possibly can so they don't think you're trying to deceive them
be patient!
on another note, i ordered from epp. they have their own service line, so it have something to do with that. -

Ordered M1730 8/19, rec'd 9/22. Came with cloth sleeve (though it is already ripping on side), leather manual/cd holder book, cloth, and Creative earbuds w/ extra tips. Live in the States.
Oh and forgot, rec'd the remote as well.
Everything came wrapped with barcodes/serial numbers, but I already chunked those. -
wow so idk then i guess dell just randomly picks who gets the stuff and who doesnt cause im in the states too and i ordered mine right around the time you did. Did the items show up on your invoice?

I bought my XPS M1530 about 3-4 weeks ago here in Manila, Philippines. But since there is no Dell factory here, they get their shipment orders from Singapore.
I received all accesories (sleeve, Creative noise-isolation buds, express card remote), except for the cool leather binder Dell case which holds the restore CDs and manual. I was looking forward to seeing the leather case (as almost all the unboxing videos on youtube have this), but sadly, none showed up upon my box-opening. -
wow Dell just hates us customers in the US i guess, even though this is where it all started, ud think theyd take even a little better care of us.

like i said, its to save money. Your right, but they would still be making profits making them here just not as much so of course they build it overseas. Yea let us know if the phone is any better, the email people wouldnt help and finally sent an email saying they can see i am not satisfied so theyve forwarded my email to their supervisors but that was almost a week ago and ive heard nothing so i think they just said it to shut me up, id like to know if by phone works any better.

Well, I got lucky.
A CSR called me (yeah go figure, lol) following up on my Vista 64-bit order and I just happened to mention to him that I didn't get the accessory kit mith my 1530.
He went ahead and placed an order for the creative labs earbuds (JU563).
He said he'd order me the other materials as well but after reviewing the order number I received it seems he was unable to order the XPS branded materials but he did place an order for a nice Belkin Sleeve, a 264 capacity CD book and a non xps branded cleaning cloth.
Really went above and beyond.
guess its just hit or miss with these guys... -
hey thats plenty, i would be greatly satisfied if Dell did the same for me. Im getting nowhere with emails, its even gotten to the point where they wont respond so i guess ill have to call a CSR tomorrow

I got one XPS 1530 two days ago @dell usa. Zero accesories, just the remote and the cds. Gotta call and see what happens. Has anyone received a negative response from dell about the accessories lately this week?

Just received my M1530 yesterday. I'm happy with the performance and craftsmanship of it, but like everyone here, I did not receive any of the accessories except for the remote control. I just sent them an email and included various facts and information from the forum and hopefully I'll get something. Let's face it, dropping $1000 - $2000 for the M1530 is a fantastic alternative to a Mac Book Pro. At least to me it is. But along those same lines, my level of expecation is higher when it comes to the issue of missing parts. Dont you agree?

I finally ordered an XPS M1530 that I will keep for myself... I did not get the sleeve, case, earbuds... I remember getting those accessories on three XPS laptops that I have ordered before... I called CSR and they gave me a $50 coupon to use

Thanks! I'm happy that I got that coupon, but I'm even happier because my XPS M1530 is flawless! Keyboard is perfect (no bumps), no manufacturing defective issues, the screen quality is awesome (LG screen), and the hard drive is very quiet!!! I wiped out all the junk that came with it and installed Windows XP Pro SP3, and all devices work perfectly! -

they referred me to call a number which is 800-624-9897. customer care number. they told me not to call xps support unless there was a technical problem

Call the number they gave you..and be firm, but polite and advise them that you would like something for not getting the extra accessories!
Ask them what are they going to do for you, to make you happy. Tell them how disappointed you were in your previous conversation with Customer Support..even though it was XPS Support, that you felt talked down to.
Because, truly in a way you were.

Also, notebook sleeves are not that expensive. You can get a very good one for less than $20.

Has anyone in the USA received all the accessories who ordered recently? (last few months).
Are the items supposed to appear within the order details or just come as part of the base m1530 unit?

Good luck to you....Read up on the past several pages, and you will be able to get some hints from other owners on how they were able to get freebies out of not receiving the extra accessories, even though the promo *had long since ended*.

I still think, that Dell ought make the extra accessories that were given with the 1530, a *set standard* with all the models.
I just think it's a nice bonus for Dell customers. Some peep's like it, some don't. Obviously, judging on the size of this thread, most did!
