    Actually Z-series uses Gorilla Glass?
When info was present there was info about Gorilla Glass and Brightness specs that are not present in actual XPS line.
Bill can't say nothing until official release, indeed if some information is deleted, maybe we must thank him

I am still hoping for a 1920x1080 option on the XPS 14. With a weight of 3 lbs it sounds very good. I also hope there SSD options such as a 512GB SSD. It is a shame that Dell does not announce anything concrete yet.

You can hope all you want for those things. Those options will not be there. Nothing is stopping you from putting a 512 gb ssd in the machine though, and probably for much cheaper than dell would charge.

Page Up / Page Down Button on arrow keys as secondary function key are quite annoying, to be honest.

If I'm reading that chart right, the 14 will be 4.6 lbs and .81 inches thick?

If what we see is the base config of XPS 15 (8Gb Ram can confirm this guess) then i think it will cost a little bit because of the 256GB SSD in the, VERY COOL, mixed storage solution.

XPS14 battery is not so bigger than XPS15, 69Whr vs 65Whr.
Wow there are a lot of pics more than an official presentation :D

In the first leak they wrote "mSATA SATA3 miniCard SSD, 32GB up to 256GB" so I don't think it's the very base configuration..

    I am disappointed :-(

XPS 14 - perfect CPU but GPU too slow and Fermi.
XPS 15 - best CPU (if it is no ULV CPU) but 640M which is too slow for 1920x1080 - downscaling will look bad as always.

Still hoping for a XPS 15z (slimmer and no optical drive) using ULV CPU and 640m (no optical drive) with 1600x900 but that will always stay a dream. Or ULV + 650m and FullHD.

Also, i see double exit grid for hot air, along all the long side of the laptop. It seems encouraging but i have to admit that i'm not aware about air exit grid of modern laptop, i'm on a EliteBook 8530 and on a XPS1530m.

The mSATA tops out at 256gb, but traditional SATA SSD's will be available up to 512gb.

The grills in the front bottom are def for the speakers.

And did we determine if the third (furthest to the front) USB port on the 15 is eSATA? I swear that looks like a tiny thunderbolt next to the USB symbol but I know the connectors aren't the same.

that seems like a really good cooling system as long as it takes air from the front and push it thought the back cooling the laptop
its possible to see the heat pipe and is not that small for the xps 14.

So we are thinking this will have an 640m , 650m, or 660m GPU?

I really think they should have just used the design of the m1530. it was one of their best laptops ever!!!

Or MAYBE they've turned the body of the latptop itself into a speaker! No grills required! :)

After these pictures in recent posts, I'm sold on the design. Its exactly what I've been waiting for. Its been between the Macbook Pro 15, XPS 15, and the ivy Envy 15. Ideally, I want a macbook pro that runs windows 7 natively lol.

Im a little disheartened to see the 640 and not the 650. Hopefully the U.S. region gets a 650. The 640 does perform pretty well though, according to notebookcheck.
