Hi, sorry was away from forums. Still have the screen and not trying to make a profit, just want to get rid of it now. So, just pay for shipping and it's yours.

    Hey,

I've just stumbled across this forum after being dissatisfied with my XPS's screen performance, and I must say that this is a goldmine of info! Thanks so much!

All that remains is to get the replacement screen part. Does anyone have a panel they are willing to sell?

    Thanks.

That's so weird, I actually have an extra one from a friend. Just PM and I'll sell it for lower than the online stores are. I'll message you with my e-mail and stuff so we can discuss.

Hey, thanks for that! I already bought one though and replaced it successfully, it's really worth it!

The only issue is that on startup I get 8 beeps... but the display works perfectly. Any advice as to what might be the issue?

    Thx.

I know this thread is very old and may not receive a reply, but I'll go ahead and ask anyways.

I just purchased the 14.0-inch LG LP140WD1-TLA1 Laptop LCD Screen and tried to do the swap myself. I was carefully able to swap out the screen, however when I turn on the laptop the screen is very very dim. I could barely see the Dell logo upon boot up. I tried to adjust the brightness settings, but that did not help at all. I then reinstalled the old monitor and everything is fine. So I tried again to hook up the LP140WD1 thinking the ribbon maybe lose, but that was not the case.

I tried contacting the place where I ordered the screen from and they informed me that in some cases the monitor ribbon had to be replaced. Has anyone who actually performed the swap have to replace anything else other than the screen itself? Has anyone ran into the issue that I am having?

Was it EVER 100% truly verified that the CHI MEI N140O6-L02 MATTE screen fully & completely functioned properly within the Dell xps L401x?

In this specific screen swapping thread, from page 5 - 6 it was discussed as an ebay item, but not verified by anyone:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/dell-xps-studio-xps/539476-official-swapping-xps-14-l401x-screen-thread-5.html

In the L401x thread, from page 28 - 29 it was discussed, but not verified by anyone:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/dell-xps-studio-xps/531042-dell-xps-14-l401x-thread-28.html

Any kind of info would be very nice.
