Yesterday I used the HDMI port to connect to a projector and it worked flawlessly.

Make sure you raise a support ticket with Dell.

It's been a while for XPS 9560 users not seeing new driver downloads but-

version 1.18.0 BIOS (released Dec. 27, 2019) - a bunch of new security fixes & some improvements

Intel Management Engine Components Installer Version 1932.12.0.1298, A04 (released Dec. 20, 2019)

    Intel HD Graphics Driver Version 26.20.100.7263, A08 (released Dec. 12 , 2019)

also if these users need an updated Realtek HD Audio driver in 2020, try this 6.0.8895.1 HDA driver pack (this one used to be found on alanfox2000's realtek hda github repository in late Feb. 2020 before his whole github repo was taken down for good in early March 2020)

edit - this new 8895 HDA driver may add or improve compatibility with the 1909 version and the upcoming 2004/20H1 release of Win10

My 9560 feels so old now...ugh. GPU can barely keep up and CPU is now ages behind... I'm switching to AMD after their Ryzen 4*** series came out...that Asus R14 looks amazing...definitely my next buy after I upgrade to an LG 4k 27" monitor...

Intel's "new for 2020" 45w CPUs in the upcoming XPS are the same Skylake architecture.

AMD is out for blood and GPUs are still improving significantly. So, there will be some compelling 2020 laptops on the horizon!
