Just if it happens to affect the bug, since it is a known change in the last BIOS.

1.9.4 reset my BIOS again, otherwise ok.

I'll update the drivers page again once 1803/1804 is released

Realtek audio driver with MaxxAudio integration & application software v6.0.1.8425

    ( MS Update - 109.4Mb) ( Dell - 333Mb)

either download should work with the XPS 15 (9560) laptop - also v8425 may support Win10 RS4 (v1803)

windows updated my intel display driver again and this new one seems to be worse than the old one. can someone direct me to the link where it describes the proper way to uninstall/install the driver. i thought i had it in my bookmarks, but apparently not.

I used DDU. Then installed latest driver from Intel's site. That generally gives you clean install of latest driver and prevents auto updates (well, if you have Dell's auto update software installed I don't know)

Yup. Then, if Windows still installs over the driver, go in to Device Manager -> Display Adaptors -> Intel HD graphics. Under the 'driver' tab, hit 'Roll back driver' and, when prompted, 'Previous version of the driver seemed more reliable'.

This worked for me a while back and I'm pretty sure that it's the advice of @GoNz0

Did that 8432 Realtek update break Waves MaxxAudio for anyone else? It just has no effect, you can crank a bunch of the knobs and EQ and turn the thing on and off, switch between saved profiles - nothing happens

I had to google an old driver page and install an old version to get it working again

Yeah that's how it sounds without the Waves stuff active. Guess it's not just me huh :/

https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=hh8w2 is what I rolled back to, and that works - no idea if there's a more recent version, they don't list older versions for this driver for some reason

I see that the new BIOS includes an update to the Intel Management Interface firmware. That update reduced BIOS boot times on my XPS15 by close to 2 seconds.

When the laptop was new, BIOS boot times were around 8 seconds. Over time, they had increased to close to 10 seconds, but, now, they are back to right around 8 seconds.

Is there a way to update the Killer Wireless driver without installing the Control Center? the less third party interference, the better....

I understand that the other drivers will not have any issues installing, but if i have done the custom firmware according to the guide (using RD400 drivers) for my SSD, is it advisable to update to dell's latest firmware for my SSD? (Yes, i got a Toshiba instead of a Samsung for my XPS)

Also, the latest DPTF did not have any significant effect to throttling

I'm still using this version of the audio driver
    https://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukdhs1/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=hh8w2
updated in July at least, but still a couple of versions back - but it actually works unlike these new ones, until it gets updated over anyway!

I don't know what you mean about PremierColor exactly, but there was a recent update to the Intel graphics driver that turned on "Color Accuracy" in the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel (it's probably in your system tray) - try going in there, Display > Color Management and disabling it and you'll get way more vivid colours, if that's your issue

This thread is not dead, but I've been waiting 1809 to become more stable before doing an update on the info present.

Additionally there appears to be some lingering instability with both Nvidia and Intel graphics drivers.

MaxxAudio software in 8555 driver was buggy for sure.

Dell has posted a v6.0.1.8569 Realtek audio driver for XPS 9360, 9370, 9560 & Precision 5520 laptops on 12/20/2018, which should fix the problem with the 8555 driver.

Uninstall the Waves Maxxaudio software first, then remove/uninstall Realtek audio 8555 driver, reboot and install the Realtek 8569 + Maxxaudio driver

After uninstalling the Maxxaudio software and Realtek driver, rebooting and installing the new Realtek and Maxxaudio driver, a couple of things went south on my laptop.

First, it lost the ability to go to sleep. I was able to fix that by setting the power settings back to plan defaults. Then, I discovered that (for some reason I don't understand), the laptop lost the ability to bypass the log-in screen when booting. I did several reboots and also checked to make sure that the computer's settings were correct for bypassing the log-in screen. Since everything had been working fine before the new driver install, I have to assume that something related to that install caused the problems.

When none of my troubleshooting worked, I gave up and re-imaged the computer from a system image.

^^^ yeah it's a couple of revisions behind, this is the newest version

Oh hey yeah thanks, the newest revision fixed my issue - thank god that's over
I was already on 8216 (had to fight to keep 8555 from reinstalling and breaking everything) so I just ran the installer on top of that and it went fine

    AW DANG!

sorry folks - it looks like Dell removed that 8569 A13 Realtek audio driver several days ago as the link to 8569 I mentioned previously is now broken (produces 404 error message lately). also that 8475 driver cloud023 still linked on the 1st page is also not working as I checked myself

the sorta buggy 8555 A12 driver link still works but listed only for Dell Inspiron 3465/3467/3565/3567 & Vostro 3468/3568 models, no XPS models listed (maybe 8555 worked ok for those Inspiron & Vostro series but worked kinda wonky on XPS; personally I like Inspiron more than XPS)

Edit: in the meantime, Microsoft does have that v6.0.1.8569 + MaxxAudio driver available in a 178Mb cab download from MS Update Catalog (need to extract all the files from the cab file using a file archiving tool like PeaZip or 7zip and requires using Device Manager to install driver thru either HDXMA7.INF or HDXSSMA7.INF file)

Hello, I updated to BIOS 1.14.2 and my HDMI port stopped working.
Anyone else with the same problem and is there a solution maybe?
    Thanks!
