I don't know if its related to new BIOS update or to Windows 10 Cumulative Update, which is happend at same time, but color gamut/space of my display have changed. And remaining question is it more color accurate right now and good, or its bad? o_O

Go to Intel graphic settings and deactivate color management there.

Where is this option exactly in the Intel Graphic settings? I've had this recent colour shift too, but I cannot find a color management option.

Can someone please confirm if the new BIOS dims the screen's max "brightness" in any way?

Interesting, I have slighly older drivers that do not have the color accuracy option, but I did get the color shift. My drivers date back from May 2018 though, so it wasn't caused by a rogue driver update. Will try to download the new drivers and see if it messes with the colors.

Yeah no luck reinstalling all the drivers might try fresh windows install later but I think the geforce needs resold ring or something
Is there any chance of getting dell to fix it out of warranty?

    Hi everyone,

I am wondering how is conductonaut holding up for all you guys that re-pasted using liquid metal?

Is re-application needed after 1 year of use?

    Thanks

I get a lot of speaker rattle/distortion when playing any kind of voice/music clips. I know it's not exactly a rare issue, but it seems worse than expected for me.

My laptop has been opened up at least 3 times, and I wonder if something has changed i the internals or if the bottom case is screwed on too tight/loose? The vibration seems to go throughout the base of the laptop and it's annoying but also a rather unpleasing sound... that I'd like to eliminate if not improve at least!

I do have the waves maxxaudio installed, but have the toggle for enhanced playback turned off

I took the plunge and flashed it from 1.7.1. No issues at all. It didn't reset the controller type back to RAID and I didn't get the color change people were complaining about. I think they found what caused that a re-released it?

I flashed my bios a week or two ago and this newest version is the exact same bios number... not sure why they took down the old one and uploaded the same bios two weeks later but I see no difference between the two... So far its been rock solid!

Do we have any EFIshell experts that can find the HDD security features so it can be selectable in the BIOS?

Yes it will work with a 970 evo, but why clone your old bloated OS on to a new SSD? I would do a fresh install.

FYI some new Intel drivers just released yesterday.. I was having a ton of errors bloating my event viewer and apparently it's caused from the Intel drivers...the new version fixed this!

When I look at the Dell site, I see multiple Intel drivers that are listed with "last updated" dates in September, 2018, but every one of those drivers was actually released months ago.

thanks for the compatibility note. for various reasons, i do need to clone. but let's rephrase: which docking solution works for evo 970 so that it'd become externally read/writable?

Anyone playing the bfv Beta? I'm finding the game to be very glitch and stuttering terribly even on low graphics... Im pretty sure it's driver related but wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this. I'm running +240 memory and 1840mhz on the core for my gpu. Maxxes out at 71c and 74c on the cpu which I'm pretty happy with! I'm hoping nvidia releases a new driver today or a bf V update to fix the glitch game play. I'll see huge drops in fps and gpu utilization randomly...

Well it's 5 min googling. But I was curious what is available now because not so long ago big eGPU housings plus m.2 PCIe adapter were the only solution for external NVMe. Of course you can also put na m.2 NVMe adapter into a desktop.

Hope these Adwits chaps aren't just witty with ads, better check'm up before shopping ;)

What is it doing that makes you think it's failing? Sadly I don't know of anyone who has swapped the 9570 mb into the 9560. It's likely more trouble than it's worth.

First screen flickering that I didn't worry about much as it seems to be a common issue with drivers, then failures in the picture and now geforce is disabled as it apparently "reported issues" as device manager says...although it says it's disabled, laptop overheats and drains battery in less than 2 hrs...

Yes, it works like a charm. Even with bluetooth 5 and Microsoft mobile mouse 3600 no problems at all!

I paid 13£ shipped more or less. Definitely it's worth it.

There are plenty of wireless cards from China that are fakes and perform poorly. There is a reasonable possibility the cheap 9260NGWs are fakes. Maybe worth a gamble but there is a certain level of risk here.
