Looks like I'm set for a MacBook Pro then. I'll wait a few weeks before I place my order, and just about nothing will stop that from happening now. I tried to wait for Dell, but I can't wait any longer. Maybe my next update will be a Dell (unless I go Apple again), I hope they won't be more than half a year late then.

And for those of you who are waiting for the new model: If the release is in late January it's quite possible the laptop won't ship until late February, are anyone willing to wait that long? One would hope that there are no mayor issues with the first production batch of the Studio XPS' or it may take even longer to get a proper notebook.

And Dell, releasing a model 6 months after everybody else? Even Apple beat you with 3 months. What the heck went wrong?

Too bad the MBP keyboard really sucks, if it didn't, then it would be a real consideration for me. I'd prefer getting the Precision M4400 before the MBP for that price... better specs in pretty much every aspect except switchable graphics for the same price...

The keyboard doesn't really matter to me expect for the fact I need to learn new shortcuts and stuff like that. I've tried a similar keyboard on Sony and it was better than my current keyboard of my Asus.

I actually really like the MacBook Pro and Sony FW keyboards.

Ladycloud, if Dell ask NBR for your IP Address, no doubt NBR will abide and give it to them. Watch your mouth regarding secret Dell plans.

I just saw the macbook in person and was blown away... It looks amazing. I really wish there were other 13 inch options other than the sony z and macbookpro that were decent. Even then the Sony Z is the only real decent option with the switchable graphics.
