Came across this post. Is it true that higher resolutions mean heavier displays?
-
LOL. No.
He was referring to LED v CCFL. Though again, stop creating new threads on screens. -
-
I mean, it's one thing that the search is down - I don't think I've told anyone to use search in the last few days. It's another when you make 20+ threads all over the m1530, with at least 7 now about the screen.
Then, maybe I thought he would get the point when Kdawg started closing them, and another mod merged a few together, but nope...
Unicorn stick of death time. -
They are different questions. Theres something called buyers remorse. This thread has nothing to do with it and Im asking this just because of reading it. Im sure there have been plenty of worse questions. Don't worry though, it will be gone later tonight. I have to place an order to take advantage of the deal expiring tomorrow.
-
There's no limit to the amount of questions you can ask in 1 thread. Like watch, I'll show you something:
Hey guys, I have 2 questions:
1. How do you stop someone from making too many threads?
2. What's for dinner?
Simply amazing. -
Please keep your m1530 questions to THIS thread, thank you.

Just out of sheer curiosity, has anyone been able to upgrade their shipping for free after ordering a product just because of all the delays and such?
-
Yes, many people have called and complained about delays and they upgrade to next day delivery for free. Depends on the rep you get though.
-
If you can get an upgrade, it will just usually be to 2 days instead of 3-5. But because of the widespread delays, I doubt they are doing that alot now
-
I was able to get mine upgraded to next day shipping for free...because of a problem with my order
Like the OP stated, if you get the right Rep, you might be able to get the order upgraded for free
Good luck! -
I read somewhere on the forums that if you choose the LED backlit for the M1330, the webcam that comes with it is VGA instead of 2.0MP. Is this true for the M1530 as well?
-
Don't think so as it says 2.0MP Digital camera when you pick the LED Screen. Think that's because the LED on the 1530 is the same with as any other 1530 screen while the 1330 LED is thinner than other 1330 screens.
-
As the topic goes, anyone actually manually swap out their M1530 display's with success?
-
I'm looking to buy a backup battery for the M1530. Does anyone know any good places to buy a 6-cell battery at a relatively low price (compared to Dell)
-
Can you order parts like LCD screens from Dell even though you didnt originally order with your notebok?
Ex. I purchase a Dell with a WXGA screen. In the future, an LED backlit WUXGA screen comes out. Can I order from Dell the LED backlit WUXGA LCD screen? (Without purchasing another laptop obviously)
Ex2. I order a laptop with standard slot loading drive. In a year from now, I want to buy a DVD slot loading drive. Can I call up dell to order that specific part? -
-
So you've placed your order, you've gotten your share of delays, and a June ship date. What are you doing while you wait for that 250GB 7200RPM Hard Drive to actually arrive from backorder? Or that LED screen that they claim to be "in stock but takes time to assemble".
For me, browsing NBR is about the main respite, plus reading raving reviews here and there. -
Go more insane than I already am. LOL. Been waiting for my desktop to get repaired for a month and a half. All it needs is a new graphics card.

Ahh...the elusive 250GB 7200RPM drive.
-
See here I thought it was the T9300 causing most of the delays. Must be a combination of many things, don't know how Dell could let it get that bad where they run out of that many components all at once.
-
According to Dell's main site, the 250GB 7200RPM delays your shipping by a good 10 days.
-
bang your head on the wall... by the time u wake up it will be delivered to your door
