Tileman has LED...saw 0.3Mpixel in his service tag reply
Cliegal has CCFL...2.0M cam in service tag -
at the highest it will go i dont care how big even if you have to email it to me or someone to post thats the key
-
I've also spoken with Dell support and they acknowledged the error. I definitely have the CCFL per my service tag and their records. LED's are currently on backorder so I'll have to wait awhile for the replacement. I have no problem with that.
-
hey atleast you have one and will they do a direct swap with it?

OMG what more do you people need?
Cliegal's LCD is CCFL while Tileman's is LED.
Proof: pictures, measurement done in the other thread with 2,5mm difference and informations from device manager/service tag (tileman = MONITOR\CMO 1390 = Chi Mei Optoelectronics = LED screen while Cliegal has AU OPTRONICS CORP with 2M camera = CCFL) -
geez, my laptop is supposed to get shipped soon and theres all these problems... dead pixel on tilleman's and wrong screen on cliegal's, its kinda getting on my nerve. if anything is wrong with my order or if it dosnt ship on time, ill most likely end just cancel and get a SZ6 on august1st

FINAL CONFIRMATION
green is tilemans
We have an official LED in our midst(which i had always thought of course, it was just a slight question mark on first comparison lol)
-
I wonder if webcam itself is the issue of thickness....even with the LED.
I think the LED screen recieved by Tileman is thicker that than in the Dell LED picture -
Cliegal -> Can you post a 2.0 meg pic from the camera at some point?
-
Ok. There is no question here. Tileman has an LED display, and Cliegal has a CFFL.
As a complement to djrm's image, here is my comparison image.
Cliegal CCFL on the left. Tileman LED on the right.Attached Files:

Thanks to both Cliegal & tileman i have created a pretty accurate overlay of the CCFL & LED.
Thanks you two:

For those that reckoned there wouldn't be much difference? I think there is lol -

I think that anyone who chose the CCFL might be slightly shocked at the pic. Of course money is always an issue and if you couldn't afford the LED then im sure it will still be an awesome laptop.
-
Thanks for the pics hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else

Ive put the comparison picture in a new thread as this is nothing to do with Cliegals mix up.

The CCFL casing does not even deserve to be matched with the sleek M1330. It makes the computer look fat and ugly.
-
-
I watched part of a movie and used slingplayer to watch some TV at the office last night and the CCFL is great.
-
-
My current CCFL looks thinner, but as always with pics it's hard to tell. I'm glad I spent my money on a better processor and graphics card rather than £130 extra for the screenWe get rip off prices compared to the US...

Thanks for the help! -

Nice comparison's guys. I had thought tileman's screen looked thick like cliegal's, but i think its because the picture i was looking at was taken closer than the one's i was comparing it to.

How many other people has this happened to? Dell screwed my order up too, so I called and they offered $500 - I took it, of course, but I'm thinking of ordering another one and selling this one if I can find a buyer for it.
-
I have a photo of both LED and CCFL in another thread. Here it is -
-
I checked my packing slip and it says my part number for the Slim and Light LCD is RW483. And the Item number for it is 320-5591. When I look it up on the Dell Service Tag page, it says something about OptiPlex GX1 but from Europe and from 10/29/1999. I just want to know what kind of screen I have, if it's the CCFL or the LED.
I am looking at the wrong Part Numbers?
Is Cliegal's screen an LED??????
