Yes.. they answer during the weekends as well. There's nothing unusual about your order. Strange...

Unless like the other poster said, be tried something funky with the educational discounts, coupons etc.
-
WHAT?!
where's my email..
-
You do know that the Mystery sale is over, right? The m1330 didn't even last through the whole sale (Dell pulled it midway).
-
I think its still going on for the Canadians...

When I tried to remove lo-jack and the printer (which I wanted but was scheduled to ship in mid-August) via e-mail Dell cancelled my entire order. With one e-mail they were able to reinstate my laptop order without a problem. I think my original point to cancel was lost in translation (hint: e-mail operators in India).
I don't know what Dell's deal is since simple things like a Dell AIO printer and lo-jack (most likely ships directly from the lo-jack warehouse) are backordered. I would think with the financial quarter close taking place at the end of July that they would be furiously shipping crap out the door to list it as a sale on the books. Let's look for a strong quarter from Dell if they can do that... -
It's no longer on Dell's "as advertised" website:
http://www1.ca.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/advertised?c=ca&cs=cadhs1&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=mn
I think it ended July 12th. -
Dell Mystery Coupon Days are over for another year...glad i got lucky on this one.
also......
ANY CHANGE WHATSOEVER ON YOUR SYSTEM MEANS A CANCELLATION AND REORDER WHICH GUARANTEES A LATER DATE!!!!! Sorry about the caps but I keep seeing this as a common mistake amongst people here. Its possible to have some chages made after receipt ie warranty upgrade and so on,
For those who havent had XPS systems before, understand that Dell WANTS you to be very happy with your system and will go to the extent to make sure of that. For eg, you ask for red and then dont like the colour and call XPS tech support, they will either send u a new backpanel to replace or send someone to do it for you...
this is what XPS Customer Support is... -

Hmm... my xps was confirmed shipping on 20th... They debited my account today... Hoping to see it in a week....
-
who did you email to get that response? I emailed customer care ([email protected]) and got this response:
"Thank you for your reply.
I have checked our records and see that the had been cancelled on 07-15-07 due the long lead time.
As the order had got cancelled please contact our sales department at
800-284-3355 to reorder, we cannot make any changes once the order is cancelled.
As I am in the customer care I have limited access tools I hope you understand why I am unable to help you in this regard."
If they're going to make me reorder I'm going to have to look else where for a new notebook.. poop. -
Monday 16th.
Everyone check your status, a lot of people saw updates on the phone order status (website says "In Production" still though). I am now in the Build stage. -
ordered 7/14
currently in build! -
Just got off the phone. I ordered 6/29 and now am in the build stage. My projected ship date is 8/22 but I think that might change.
-
Im still in the build stage since thursday.
-
That'll be the next big thing... learning how long you are in Build stage. *sigh*...
-
In the BUILD STAGE!!!!
-
Mine shows "production" stage. I assume that's what everyone means with "build" stage, right?
-
Try calling the 1-800 #... its more accurate.
-
blah...yeah thats what I did and I am **** my pants when it said the status was the build stage.
-
Well that's fair. I ordered 6/27 and am in still in "pre-production" as of 2:36 CST.
-
What are the specs on your laptop, WilliamG? I'm in the same boat.
-
William: what are your specs?
-
whats your delivery date?
-
did you call or check online?
-
I called the automated status, since my online status has said "In Production" (which is a lie, of course).
Specs.
Matte black
T7500 2.2Ghz
1GB DDR-2
8400
biometric
LED with VGA cam
And a second system, same as the first but in white, which is also in pre-production.
Ship date is 7/29 with a delivery of 7/30, for both. -
hmmm did you get in on the original drake deal?
-
No, I bought my system legitimately.
-
The Drake deal was legitimate/ My cousin got in on that
-
Does your cousin actually go to Drake university?
-
Yeah it's only legit to get a educational discount if you actually goto school.
-
... well ... if one goes to THAT SPECIFIC school
-
Ok quick question. Now that our orders are in the "build" stage... Does that mean they have all of our parts and we are looking at what 15 days to build then shipped??? Or what?
-
If you look at that chart on the order page, the 15 days build time starts as soon as you get the confirm e-mail. So I am thinking that includes the pre-processing part.
When it's in build I can not imagine it taking longer than 5 days to build it, then maybe 2 days to test and ship. So fingers crossed we should start seeing shipping by early next week? -
... technically it means that they have our parts ready to be assembled and they are building the systems with those parts. How long this will take? I don't know... we just have wait until someone gets out of Build!!!
Anyone yet? LOL
M1330 Shipping soon!!
