hey buddy first of all thanks for ur effort.i just want to ask a question i have used a11 bios with 0.83v 0.85v and 0.90v but the problem is that even using 0.85v or 0.90v the voltages are always 0.83v when gaming. gpu z showing me that while gaming it is always at 0.83v .i also used nvidia inspector and while gaming it also shows 0.83v while gaming. However when i use original a11 bios i.e. dells default a11 bios it fluctuates between 0.83v to 0.95v.When my gpu is idle it is at 0.83v and when gaming it is 0.95v with default a11 bios. When i flash 0.85v or 0.90v bios it always stays at 0.83v and i know it is very low voltage as i overclock manually to gt540m clocks. Also it is unstable at 550m clocks using 0.90v bios but stable at 700/900/1400.

Hi.
This is a cool mod and I'm just starting to test it but will it be possible to activate the AES-NI feature in the BIOS? My own assambler skills are no existent, so I can't do it myself. -
I do not know indulgence in English
the parameters of my machines:
n5110 i7 2630qm nvidia gt525m 0.83v
very loud the machine and the fan is going always quasi.
which bios is needed? ahead thanks -
Just found out a great solution to the overheating problems - the Turbo Boost technology increases the temperature of the CPU and GPU by 15-20 degrees in my case. During gaming with TB turned on, the CPU and GPU's temperatures are around the 80-85 degrees mark. Just by disabling TB, the temperature dropped down to 68-70 degrees with stock BIOS (0.95v voltage as far as I recall). When I applied the 0.83v BIOS mod, the temperatures dropped down to around 65 degrees.
Disable TB using these steps:
Open Control Panel, go to Power Options, Change your current plan settings, click the advanced section, expand the Processor Power Management section, click the Maximum Processor State, and set it to 99%. -
Hello djjonastybe
First i wanna thank you for tweaking this poorly designed laptop.
I had a problem with my CPU was overheating to 95°C and called DELL, They sent me a technician which changed the Heatsink. After the change my CPU is cooled again to 75°C but my GPU Temperatures are increasing from 50° to 97-99°C really fast in few seconds with a FPS drop from the start.
I read this topic and tried every possible tweak like CPU maximum power managing although i dont have the Turbo boost mode in my BIOS (should i install a driver and then disable it or ..its the same)
Then i installed ur 540m 0.83v Driver with the A11 BIOS mod. (i have the i7 btw)
Now my graphic card is not overheating that fast (from 50° to 95° in 10 minutes) but without a FPS drops even at 95°..
My Quesion is Can i somehow underclock my GPU more to reduce the heat? or i shouldnt worry about it if the FPS are okay? and acodingly to theese screenshots did i flashed everything correctly?

Thing I discovered is when I installed older version 260.63 driver it stayed the same using 0.90v mod but when i install one of the newest versions while gaming it stays 0.83v not 0.90. I could leave with older driver but FPS in games is significantly lower than using latest drivers.
Sorry for my bad english! -
at last someone reponded to my problem dinars2013 I JUST WANT GT550M CLOCKS THAT ARE 740/900/1480 without overheating issues but they remain unstable even at custom 0.95v or 0.98v but i can overclock easily upto 780 core clock and memory at 900 by using dell defaults 0.95v bios but then my lappy gpu temprature reaches 90c any ideas dinars 2013 thanks....why is the creator of these bios isnt replying

I can't use the "Fn+X" to decrease fan speed. It's not working for me.
The fan noise is too loud. Is there another way to put it to normal?? Function key does not work with X or any other function in startup; only when I enter windows it starts working.
Please help. -
Hello,
I need a little help. I did everything as described in the first post and the readme.
My laptop does a strange thing since I flashed the modded bios. When I boot with my charger plugged in, it says, that I'm using a wrong charger, not the Dell original 130W and the system will adjust power usage. This is the smaller part of the problem. The bigger part: when I disccharge my laptop and I want to charge it up, the charging won't start (for the same reason, it detects as if it wasn't a proper charger). But! Sometimes it works if I plug it in, like 1 out of 20 times. The charger works perfectly, so I think the problem is within the laptop.
I flashed back to the stock bios, but the situation didn't change. I'm starting to worry, maybe the hardware got damaged because of the flashing? :S
If you've experienced something similar or know a way to fix this, please help! Any help appreciated. Thank you -
Hi everyone
I have question
can i use this bios for my laptop : toshiba satellite L755 ??, it have GT525m too -
would you please upload the A10 default bios .ROM file
i want to revert everything to default because my laptop is acting very weird after i tried the FN+X with boot to use the fan at 100%
now the laptop temp goes straight to 95-99 after just few seconds of gameplay and i don't know why .. the fan seems to be working just fine
any help please -
I just flashed the 540m and 550m bios and both of them are actually using the proper clocks however they are running at .83v in 3d mode. The 550m vbios is completely unstable but the 540m bios seems to run ok. The problem is I can run 780/900 clocks with the default .95v and it doesnt do over 75 degrees.
Basically what I'm trying to say is your voltage settings are not working properly. The neat thing is I am running under 65 degrees with the 540m mod and the 3dmark scores are fairly decent at these clocks.
So do I need to reinstall the nvidia drivers to make the voltage changes take effect or should they work right away? -
link die, reup plz

Anyone willing to fix the link please? Id be so happy or atleast where could i get these mods? :/

I installed 0.85v mod but temps hasn't changed.
GPU is still around 90C max according to GPU-Z after 30min in left 4 dead 2, the same as before. In fact, according to gpu-z voltage in 3D is 0.83v although I flashed 0.85v ROM. What's going on in here?
My n5110 has 2410m and ssd in it. -
My Dell Inspiron n5110 hdd is reaching at temperature of 50-56c without any task running, and my laptop is hanging in every 5sec.
Sometimes it also does not boot the OS and gives error like boot file not found.
I think my hdd has problem,
Please give me some opinion -
Hi, anyone know this bios is can be used for N7110 as well?

Hello. I have a problem. 525M , drivers 344.75.
When i flash my bios by "N5110_A11_095_540M" OR "N5110_A11_098_550M" voltage on GPU is 0.83v . In games too.
In my stock bios it was 0.98v !!!!!Last edited: Feb 1, 2015 -
But now i have another problem. Every time when i set core clock more then 780 and try to open any game. The clocks are reset to defaults !!!!
The GPU temp is 45 degrees.
The GPU voltage is 0.98v
Why it happens ?? -
hello. pls reupload link is dead

Hi,
My gpu sucks at the moment for gaming because its undervolted and I dont have a huge amount of money to spend on a new gaming laptop You had a link to your "A11 Bios Pack" which increases the voltage, I tried clicking into it but it came up "file not found". I know this a lot to ask but could you possibly do me a huge favor and re upload or even send the the file?
Thanks for your time,

You can thank me later
