the E6400/6500 could be a nice alternative to the m1330.... 4-5 lbs, 14.1" or 15.4"(beter than 13.3"), discrete graphics.... :(

but it starts $1100+ compared to M1330's $800+..... definitely more expensive

I was looking at the E6400 and the Precision lines. Kind of tempting.

What's nice about those new laptops, is the battery life. I understand E6400 can go up to 19 hours.

Yeah, battery life is the definite sweet spot for these notebooks and really Montevina in general.

    Marketing slogans:

"Why buy Apple, when you can get it in a Dapplell?"
    "Dapplell, Dell outside, Apple inside."
"Dapplell, The best of Dell with the core of an Apple."
    "Dell eats the Apple, Dapplell"
"Dapplell-ing technologies for your consumer needs."

    Just being random.

I;m really dissapointed with today. I was expecting a mini dell inspiron, and a 1525, 1420 refresh. This is upsetting

The people buying Latitudes are Dell's bread and butter, they are by far Dell's most important customers and the E series launch is one of the biggest and most significant product launches in recent Dell history. They are laying the foundation for the next 4-5 years of thei business line. Being someone who buys plenty of Latitude systems I disagree, we do care about technology it is very important to get the most life out of our systems. The E series Latitudes are very important too the future of Dell's best selling product line.

Someone change the title of this thread. It's depressing me, having to momentarily think "ah, they're almost here!" :(

No kidding. I am ready to buy the Beast(1730) from the Outlet and just call it a day. Then probably the day after I receive it, the new models will come out.
