NEW Inspiron 1420/1520/1720 Shipping Date!

My Next Business shipping sowed up on my on line Order Status within 5min.

 

Mine too. However, a couple of people who were upgraded found out their machines were shipped standard once they checked the DHL (or whatever) tracking system.

 

Worked just fine for me. Got my Next Day on the order status as well.

EDIT: Whoops, I see what you mean now. Well, lets just cross our fingers and hope Dell stays nice.

 

what do u do? just call and complain about it not being here after a week or two? thatll do it?

 

I used dell chat on line, my chatter did not bite during my woe is me, but at the end before they sign off they ask if you are pleased with the out come, I just said that many were getting upgraded to next day shipping and I was hoping for it too, and he said sure he'd be happy to do that!

I just called Dell again and tomorrow will be a week including weekends and my components are still on backorder. I think its my LCD screen holding it off, but my delivery date is still July 30th. I doubt it will be that tho.

 

My 1520 was just shipped today. The estimate ship date was the 31st. I was like holy****, when I check it 5 mins ago. Dell sure likes to surprise people(cant say with good intentions tho). This is the biggest they have done to me so far.

phobos512, i think you can expect it to arrive within 2 weeks. From what I heard from other people and myself, the boxing stage usually takes 3 days.

 

Ordered a few hours ago, July 23rd Ship Date! 1521 for me.

 

Dell says my order shipped yesterday, but late last night, i got a tracking number... mine's in transit via FedEx, standard overnight shipping... so I guess they got it right a day late...

btw, Stella, how's your order going so far??

 

Man, now I'm getting all giddy and excited!

 

Damn well better arrive within 2 weeks, because that's what I paid for lol. Two weeks would put it at the 24th. If it's in boxing now, and that say takes three days, that means it should ship to me on approximately Friday the 13th. Which means I should get it next week sometime. I don't want to get my hopes up but this seems logical.

 

Well, I got the 3-5 days shipping. I dont think it makes too much of a difference because the computers are shipping from Nevada. Since we both live in CA, so i guess it should arrive in 2-3 days?

 

I feel like im getting jerked around! online it tells me its in production, on e-agent tells me it is the "boxing" stage and one e-chat tells me its shipped!!!! (but can't tell me the tracking number!) anyone else been given the run-around?

 

They are not shipped from Nevada, not sure where you got that from...they ship from TN

 

When I tracked my 1520, it says it is shipping from Nevada.

heh, I called the dell tracking phone number today but I'm confused, it says my laptop has shipped, on June 26/1998

On the dell site it says I'm still in production. but I'm in canada, does the phone tracking system work for us, that may be the problem

 

I guess you didn't get the memo, dell offers -9 year shipping.

 

So at first i placed an order on the inspiron 1520 through the Hot Chat line and i was asking the rep for any special promotions and he said NO. So i purchased it and i found out the next day about the $168 off instantly so i called up the cust. rep. and requested to speak to a supervisor so i did. after all we cancelled the first ordered and placed a new one for cheaper with 2GB hard drive instead of 1.5GB on my first purchased. In addition haha, i was complaining, whining, blah blah to get what i wanted which was NEXT BUSINESS SHIPPING, so i got what i wanted haha. placed on 7/8 estmated 7/25. yep

 

Yes. I received phone call from Dell. They will deliver my unit tomorrow.

 

the automated tracking telephone number gave me the same thing too (us canadians are out of luck!) But i did get my tracking number today!!!!! In canada they ship by purolator they suck......

 

Question, how come these ship dates are so varied? Like alot of you are worried that you won't get yours before the end of August, while others are worrying about end of July. I just put my order in last night and it says I should have mine in two weeks :O

 

I ordered mine on July 7/07. My order confirmation quoted a ship date of July 20/07. I just called Dell (Canada) and the CSR told me that a part (she couldn't figure out which one though) was on back order and that the expected ship date is now July 27/07

I ordered July 17th and my estimated ship date is July 26th*, at this rate i don't think they are gonna beat that by much.

This is nuts,

I just ordered a 1420 from Canada and the expected ship date is August 13th!!! Thats 5 weeks away! Plus another 5 days for ground shipping. I couldn't even order express shipping.

Thats kind of ridiculous. I'm thinking of canceling the order but don't know what other options I really have. I still need the laptop and its a good deal...

 

Ordered my 1520 on 7/7, est. shipping date is 8/6

School starts for me on 8/22...so I think it will make it.

Well considering I had ordered 7/7 and had a 8/6 est shipping date, I don't think you need to worry

reordered my 1520 yesterday canceling my wireless n card and making it a g jest ck status by phone and is in the box stage now wow

 

so i ordered mine about 5 days ago... they told me that the shipping date is 8/3... do you think there is a possibility (a strong one) that it could be shipped out before then? I ordered the 1420
