I wonder if dell is shipping these based on how much we paid for them .

Cant find it in this thread... how do I find those details about my order (like testing, boxing)? Mine still says in production and I ordered on 6/26. I think it might say testing by now?

I haven't seen one, but wouldn't be surprised to see one coming from Lowepro in the future.
For the moment i'm looking at a Dictota backpack with integrated raincoat. ( www.dicota.co.uk)
Will need some modifaction as its for notebooks up to 15.4", but the document compartment is pretty big and i think with some extra padding will make a good solution until a bag specially designed for "M1330 photographers" comes along.

So, does anyone know if Kickace's Ebay m1330 had shipped out this past Friday. I remember him stating that the Ebay seller was pretty adamant about the computers shipping out on Friday.

 

He is either too busy playing around with his 1330 or too ashamed to show his face here

Looking at his profile (and previous posts), it looks like he defected and got an ASUS instead.

Its unlikely that they shipped past Friday, although i think we saw one unit being reported as shipped here in the forums on friday if i'm not mistaken.

 

Maybe he got scammed and is too ashamed to admit it (who honestly would believe that Ebay ad?)

 

Yep. I can confirm that at least one(mine) shipped on Friday.. Too bad it's still stuck in customs over here, and weekends are off, so no chance of it getting delivered before Tuesday(if i am lucky, i.e.).

A kind of modern day Cargo cult... the God's will send a big 747 from the Sky full of M1330's and then all our problems will be solved.

 

Don't be ashamed about that, its a rather large investment for a small piece of technology, so for me thats prefectly understandable. No, i check my order every 2 days or so through the website. But i have no hopes of status changes anyway at the moment.

i'll definately go after that "free printer" thing on monday. I currently have none and really don't wanna buy one at the moment, but i'll give it a try to get on for free from sales rep

 

FYI there are a lot of rumors that these machines are coming from Malaysia. Per Fed Ex mine is being shipped out of Tennessee and is scheduled to be delivered Tuesday before 4:30. Music to my ears!!!

 

Me too. Shipped from Nashville, standard overnight (although I didn't request overnight), and my delivery estimate is July 24th before 3 PM.

PS - I'm pretty certain they are shipped from Malaysia to the delivery carrier. They are not made in the USA. My E1505 and my 9300 were made out of country and both ultimately shipped from Nashville.

 

Sounds like we should get our systems about the same time!

 

In fact, Dell was waiting until ALL the XPS ordered during the first month were ready to ship. this way no customer would be unhappy to see other customers receiving their 1330. Great idea!

That means then that the M1330s ordered in EMEA since 26th June are ready to ship as well?

I'm sorry, but i don't believe that information to be genuine until its a bit more precise and probably with a link to a source.

I ordered another M1330 on June 28th and it's still in build stage yet my July 5th order has shipped so there is no logic to that statement.

They are built in Malaysia and come into the US through Tennessee. Once they arrive at Tennessee, FedEx takes over.

 

Hi guys, I live in Malaysia and I've ordered a M1330 as well. Our expected ship date for M1330 here in Malaysia varies from July 30th till late August.

 

I wouldn't be surprised in Dell used FedEx logistics. There is a FedEx shipping product that allows you to import an entire shipment of product destined for multiple locations as one shipment that is then broken up by FedEx after it reaches the US and then shipped to the final destination.

 

This is interesting news, after three people say they're already shipped. Capkapak - are you expecting your machine to arrive in July?

 

Last week I heard from the Dell Sales rep that mine should be delivered around the 25th of July (I ordered 2 weeks ago) but yesterday I saw online that the M1330 now has an after July 30th expected delivery date for new orders. So will see tomorrow if I can get more news from them.

 

OK, I see. That may mean there's still some hope for earlier orders to be actually on their way. Your turnaround looks suitable fast though, considering you're in the same country as production.
