Post when XPS M1330 ordered and when/if shipped

USA?

You ordered on the 5th and they expect it to ship on the 1st. I hope that is the case as I ordered the 2nd. I am just worreid that the 4+9 cell is going to invalidate my config during the "real build" process and I'll get a nifty cancellation notice.. .

 

Firstly, with the order status system being down I think they are having problems with it updating etc etc. So probably any order status is even more inaccurate than ever.

Also, I am surprised so many people are getting MacBook Pro's instead. That seems to be the most popular 2nd choice. It is so much bigger than the M1330 it is putting me off. Another thing is people keep comparing the price, but the warranty (AppleCare) is like $350 on top of the $2100 for the system. That really bumps up the price.

Although, if I did cancel my M1330, which I won't unless they push my date back to sept, then MBP would be my first choice.

 

but you don't see them on the orders, and moreover its even not in the user manual.

 

That gives you less than a week to get it! Heh heh heh....

 

Well the cases was DEF not on anyone's orders... but its being included. It's confusing ... but I'm almost positive that everyone should get the remote + the ear buds.

 

I thought the remote was listed on my order but I guess that I was wrong

yea its what the rep told me. The ear buds they can keep them...

 

seriously some with estimdated ship dates in two days desperately need it.

 

In mexico the RC and the earbuds are listed too

 

Not much is going to happen in the next 10 to 14 days so sit back drink a cold one and calm down.

It is on my order. On the Chinese site I had the choice of one of four cases and this was the cheapest option. (the other options have appeared and disappeared at various times - presumably depending on supply)

 

I didn't check... but I don't think I need to even bother since I know its going to say i'm in the BUILD stage.

Has anyone as of yet tested the functionality of the HDMI-Output? Does this bummer pass audio and if not, does the M1330 have an (optical/digital) SPDIF-Output?

This is quite vital for me, since I'd like to hook up a big-ass television to it and play high-definition 1080p content.

 

Its probably the basic versions of either Nero or Roxio, you know, the useless kinds. It has been the trend to include one of these in new computers these days.

Nero Ultra (or Ultimate?) has been my go-to choice for all my DVD/CD Burning needs.

The earbuds are not in the M1210 user manual either, right? I'm sorry, but reading the nice pages made by Dell, it's included. That's more than enough for me.

 

will it be able to push 1080p with a high end spec? I hope so since i want to hook it up to my 42'' lcd

 

Dell is testing how devoted you are to the m1330..

for only the strong can handle its raw power.. and

the weak has already canceled their orders..

This is according to what the rep told me. Appearntly it's not in Canada yet so they say.

I've already created a thread to follow up on this issue and I will periodically check on reps for different answers and post them right away for all of you worried XPS pre-owners (that includes myself)

Another problem then... First of all I don't have IR remote listed already, I checked my list again and no ear buds either. Sigh.... omg.... please don't tell me I have to put up with dell...

Well the kiddos that got their m1330 (and remotes and earbuds) didn't have the remote listed on their order either. I wouldn't be too worried... but we did have the ear buds listed.

 

I'm in Singapore. Apple at first gave me a delivery date between Aug 6-10. Then at 5pm I got an email saying my order shipped. When I reached home at 8pm, it was already waiting for me. hahaha. Excellent. The WLED screen is so bright.

its not like the ear buds r gonna be good anyway come on alrdy. the remote > ear buds in this case.
