Testing stage!

 

You guys are so lucky. Mine is getting pushed back until God know when. Makes me angry enough to phone up Dell right now and start demanding explanations.

 

Well since your order is now officially delayed, I'd certainly think you should call and ask for (a) a reason, and (b) some sort of compensation. They might not provide you with either, but it's not unreasonable to try.

yay mine entered testing stage how long does it usually take from 'testing' to 'shipped'?

 

Testing is a few hours, boxing is a few days.

 

I don't know how long mine has been in the boxing stage but I just called them last night and it says boxing, so it might been boxing for awhile now..

I think its a croc of bull**** they dont log the time you move to another stage. I got no idea when I hit boxing..driving me crazy!

 

I call every hour or so when I am awake.

My 11PM call last night had it in testing. My 9AM call this morning had it in boxing.

Hey, some of us really want our laptops. God I cant wait to scan my finger, play WoW on max on my beautiful LED screen. Then close it and just admire its beauty.

 

Meh...what else am I going to do at work, beside calling to check the status of my laptop.

I use an old XP2000+ system. I want something new. I like to get a bargain, and I like to complain. So, for me, Dell is a great company to order from. Cheap laptop, long wait...I get it all.

lol, I think I'm tired of expecting mine, though I was pleasantly surprised last night to hear that it was in boxing. It's supposed to be shipped out by tomorrow 5/28, but I'll check in the evening...The first few days were fun and exciting, but now its kinda like.... ...

 

Im going to be like, 7 and getting a PS1 all over again when I crack open that box and set that bad baby down and start jaming it with Burned DVDs

 

any recommendations for usb tv tuners? I'm looking to hook up my 360 to my soon to be 1530.

I ordered May 12, and my ESD was May 28. I just found out that my order has shipped, though it probably won't actually get picked up until tomorrow.

 

Ah...so mine's probably going to go to boxing friday or monday...

I went into boxing monday night..and im still boxing. No friday delivery for me.

 

I ordered on 5-12-2008 and only in kitting!!!! Dell just plain hates me.

I have been waiting for 31 days now. Supposed to have shipped yesterday, and delivered today. Now its supposed to ship 6/4, and be delivered on 6/5.

It truly is inexcusable.

Oh ok scared me, you should def. get your laptop before your new ESD. Fountain got delayed then shipped later that night.

 

Yeah. I am sure I will. Last night...I was so pissed. I mean, I expected a delay...but I called and was told it was already sent to the shipper and to check back later for tracking info...and when I did...delay.

I am much more calm now...but I still hate Dell.

I will only be buying Dell computers from the Dell Outlet from now on. At least they get shipped out within a few days.

 

Yeah, the road is long and bumpy, but the reward is awesome.

If I do not ship tomorrow (5th day of boxing) Im going to start dialing and yelling.

 

Ehh...but I bet i'll spend countless hours on the phone arranging returns, scheduling techs to come replace things, etc.

I MAY be more forgiving of Dell if my system comes in perfect condition. Part of my hate for them is that there probably will be issues with it.

Did you see the one guy who got a ****ty screen the the Dell rep told him to use an external monitor? Haha, yeah right. Get real, Dell.

 

God help them if I dont ship tomorrrow..ugh..A whole week of boxing and not shipping is rediculous. How can my laptop just sit in a box in a warehouse for so long.

 

its not just sitting in a box in a warehouse, its being boxed, put on a plane and sent to the states where there it has to be unloaded off a plane scanned into dell's system, then boxed again, labeled and shipped to your door, be patient.

 

Boxing is being prepared for a plane ride, and being unloaded at Nashville, 1-3 days. A week of boxing is not right. Not shipping tomorrow isnt acceptable to me.
