Well, my account on dell website is still not updated with the tracking number!
The funny thing is ...when i called the customer care rep to ask the order status, he looked at the account and directly transferred me to the supervisor --- saying that my case is now handled by the managers...... lol........

Haven't had much time to play with it yet. The RGBLED really is beautiful. Doesn't have any of the problems that others have mentioned. Colors seem accurate to my eyes. I watched about 10 minutes of "Batman Begins" on blu-ray and it looked great. I also think that the sound is outstanding for a laptop and won't be in any rush to use external speakers with it.
Now I can start posting in the owners lounge! -
The wait is finally over. FedEx delivered the laptop a few mins back.
Finally.... -

I don't know if anyone is monitoring this thread anymore, but in case anyone is interested, it appears there aren't currently any delays on the 1647, at least for U.S. customers...I ordered mine with the RGB LED screen and blu-ray upgrade on 03/23/10 and it is scheduled to be delivered on 03/30/10...and I only paid for 7 day shipping!

I got mine in Canada in 2 weeks ...so it seems that they have them (RGB) back in stock...for now.... was worth it btw....

I received mine 3 days ago ^^. Updated to Catalyst 10.3 and BIOS A05, works like a charm. No overheating, no crackling/rattling, screen yellowing etc. Not sure about throttling, but I do not notice it at all.
