... with the order number and stuff? That's strange..... did you order through EPP or Home or SB or etc?
-
-

of course, "in production" includes awaiting parts to build the unit. So even those that have moved to "in production" may not actually get their units built for another couple of weeks or more.
-
Well... I meant after pre-production (building process).
-
-
I hate their "in-production" status... there's so much ambiguity.
-
-
If you don't have the order linked, it won't show up on the My Account page with the precise order status. If you go to the order page, it will say "in production" which will confuse a lot of people.
-
US system used to break down the stages but over the past year they made it so that you had to call to get that info.
-
"in production" isnt special
I orderded on 6/30 and i've been in production since the first business day after my order. -
I have been in the "build" stage (according to the 1-800 number) Since late thursday/early saturday (I didn't check from Thursday evening 'till Saturday at 10am). I'm in the US with following specs:

Called customer care and they say everything is ok with my order, just the lead times are high. Still in Pre-Production. Hoping it moves into production somtime tonight or tomorrow.

On line I am in "production" since June 26th. I started calling the 800 number and I have been in the "build" stage since I started calling Wednesday last week. I was told my system was being "expedited" 10 days ago. I would not get too excited until the system ships.
XPS m1330
T7500
2gig RAM
LED
Nvidea card
Verizon card
Intel N
160 gig 7200 rpm drive -
Well, expedited just means next day shipping so don't get your hopes up too high.
-
I had a Dell order expedited by a US manager and it went straight through all the production stages in like a day btw. The order was not scheduled to ship until a month later. The manager here explained that he put my order right at the top of the production Queue.
I agree that when the usual CSR says expedite, that is just a request to expedite and typically will result in your shipping being changed only.
