Which colour do you like best for the 1420/1520/1521/1720/1721?

Yea I went to Westerville South, north east of columbus just off 270. Works out well for me because I was red and white there so my 1520 will fit well even now.

 

Ah I jsut graduated from Pickerington Central southeast of columbus. State Runner-ups in football woot woot.

 

Too bad rocco got hurt i think we woulda beat davidson(for everyone else who really don't care, they were the Ohio Division 1(biggest) State Champions in football), not to mention crush you guys . But we are getting off topic, so lets continue in pm's and spare everyone else.

 

Does anyone have more picture for closer look up ? Hard to pick just by looking those dell photoshop image preferably live photo.Anyone ?

 

Disappointed/excited about ruby red's result. Disappointed more people didn't choose it because it is obviously the best color there. Also excited because I expected it to be more common. Since it isn't i guess i'll be one of the few with the best color on the back of their screens. Not sure if this will actually be the case though, i am going to OSU and that red is more or less perfectly scarlet.

 

Green all the way. Black is too standard/noncommittal. Red, yellow, and blue are nice as well.

 

I can't decide between the midnight blue or the black. Black is the safer of the two colors, but I can't help want to pick the blue. For something different while still looks haftway decent.

 

I got it down to a choice between blue and midnight black and opted to go with the black. Its a more professional look imo, and black is always in style. I also personally like matte.

 

Here is why black and white suck:
they do not use the same soft-touch fingerprint-resistant micro satin finish as the rest.

I choose red because it's the closest to my school color laptops will probably ever come.

They don't charge for colour upgrades here in AUS.

I chose blue... my PC is blue and I still enjoy beating it up.

i like jet black, but w/ my configurations, i have to pick a color so its 20$ more to put me over the 1399$ limit for the coupon. lol, albeit, white and brown are still pretty nice

 

Seriously folks... did we hate that shiny white border so much that we're turning to black in some sort of Ying and Yang response. Like it will balance out all those notebooks Dell built with that shiny white border. We finally get a choice of colors and we want Black the most? I don't get it but Henry Ford would love you all...

 

Well, if you were to look at it that way, you'd have to add up all the colors total vs black. More people definitely chose to have a color over keeping a rather standard black covering, so I'd say that we are doing a good job taking advantage of the new color options to suit everyones wants.

 

Mine is Ruby Red and her name will be Roxanne

Lol my thoughts exactly, although i already know someone who named their lacrosse stick roxanne, so i have to come up with a different name, otherwise it would just be creepy.

 

i chose black for a couple reasons

1.) (for me at least) I will NOT even see the back cover of my laptop 90% of the time

2.) $20 in my pocket

3.) color back while the bottom remains black and sides remain gray/silver or w/e it is seems weird. If the entire laptop became colored that might be something worth thinking about.

4.) its a laptop =\ its not part of my fashion statement. it'll be in my bag or on my desk most of the time.

5.) my dad (whos basically paying for my laptop) would kill me if he knew I paid an extra $20 to change the "color" on a laptop

Well compared to the other colours I saw, I think I'm going to get pink..

I got too look at some display units today at a Dell Kiosk. The white and black dont fell the same as the color units. Also none of them were shiny, the red and green ones i saw had a sort of tough rubber fell to them. I liked it alot. At first i wanted black, but after seeing it, i think im going blue.

 

what did the black one feel like? I'm really confused...

also I hope you know that its "feel" not "fell" (sorry was bugging me too much, notice its too and not "to"...nvm)

 

Can anyone confirm is the midnight blue is sort of glossy.. the red looks kinda glossy...

 

I avoided white, black, and blue.

Blue seems too clique for dell; I have too many expensive black appliances (I need some change ); and white was too bland. Ruby Red was perfect for me...especially because I'm attending Rutgers University.

 

I went with brown. I'll be using my 1720 on stage and it goes really well with my dark blue guitar.

Plus, who has a brown laptop?

 

just ordered my yellow one yesterday

 

none of these are shiny. micro-satin is a fabricky substance that feels like rubber whilst the black and white are just metallic paint, nothing lgossy about it.

 

some one PLEASE clarify this point.

Gooo Spring Green

 

I went to my local dell kiosk to see the new colors in person for the first time. I thought they all were nice, and for a moment mistook the brown for black They had all the colors laid out except for black which was on the 1420. I think the brown looks even better in person, but red is still the best

 

i wish i could see the colors in person!! it would make choosing the color so much easier! buttttt i still want green

 

I was gonna spring for the Midnight Blue, however I decided to go with the Jet Black instead.

 

Good choice! Jet black is teh sexy.

 

I got the safe choice--black. I don't know how I'd feel down the line with a bright red/yellow/green/etc. notebook. I bet owners of flourescent orange Honda Civics feel that way.

 

Jet black all the way - Would be cool if they added an extra shell as an option so you can interchange between 2 colours.

 

I love the brown, I wish I could change it. BUT! I was cheap, so I went with the Jet black.
