Who all has recently entered the boxing stage?

I keep seeing a good bit of people saying they just came into the boxing stage either today or yesterday so this could be a good thing. With a bunch of people going in at once that could gaurantee all of our lappys a smooth and quick flight to america without delay.

 

I went into boxing on monday.

Went into boxing on tuesday....in an article that a member of NBR just posted, it says that Dell loads a 747 up with laptops, weighing in at over 100,000 kg after fully stocked and it goes from malaysia to nashville. The only other 747 to go into nashville EVER apart from Dell is Air Force One, which I think is pretty cool....

I went into boxing on Tuesday. ESD is 8/21, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe it'll ship out tomorrow or Friday.

Yeah I think a bunch of our lappys are going to be on a 747 here in the next day or so.. *Fingers crossed!*. Thats cool that they go to nashville which is only like 2 hours away from here. I think I'll go up there with a sign welcoming my new lappy to the us lol

Mine went into boxing yesterday... ESD is Fri, I was really hoping to get it before my Fantasy Football draft on Sunday... but that's not looking likely.

ESD is 8/17. Does DHL deliver on Saturday?

So are all of these notebooks shipping from Nashville,TN? If so, how long do you think it would take for one to get to mid-state SC? My ESD is Thursday and I'm really hoping to get it on Friday because my classes start on Monday. Is it possible? (DHL Ground by the way)

Woke up this morning 7:30AMish, and found out my laptop went from buildstage to boxing stage!

I just checked and it went into boxing today...the best phone call I've had with Dell throughout this whole ordeal...

I can't/am unwilling to locate the thread that identifies all the shipping stages, but to my knowledge it went straight from "build" to "boxing"...I guess I missed testing and all that...

 

It probably went through testing and stuff while you were sleeping or in between the time you called. I doubt you call every single hour =p

 

Went into boxing sometime between Monday 9pm and Tuesday 6am, hopefully it will ship today.

 

The "Boxing" stage seems to take between 3-4 days. Mine was in boxing for 3.5 days before it shipped about 3pm on the 4th day. Hope that helps.

I entered boxing on Tuesday August 16th somewhere around 1PM Eastern. I have been there ever since. My estimated ship date is 8/28 and I ordered it on the 11th of July.

Mine went into Boxing on Tuesday (8/14) Still not shipped. Estimated ship date is 8/17. Will it ship atleast tomorrow? keeping my fingers crossed.

 

I dont understand why some people who went into boxing on tuesday already got shipped while mine is still in Boxing stage...! I wish they ship it today...am not sure DHL works on weekends...so even if it ships tomorrow I'll get only on Monday

I did way to much research last night lol. The guy whose laptop just shipped today.. I tracked the 747 and it arrived early this morning in nashville. I have a good feeling that most of the laptops who have went into boxing in the last few days left malaysia last night at 7:45 pm cst. They should arrive in anchorage alaska tonight around 6:30 and were estimated to arrive in nashville at around 4:30 am tommorow morning. So you do the math from there. You could get it tommorow if your lucky but I'm guessing early next week probably around monday.

Ed Howell, Are you certain you have a 1680X1050 Screen? I've ordered a brown with that screen on 7/24. I'm seen where numerous browns have shipped, but you are the first one I have seen with that screen. If so, where are you located? I'm in Texas -- looking for more info to present to the Dell rep regarding WHY is mine delayed (they've been claiming color and LCD panel.) Thanks.

Do you know what time of day yours went into boxing on Tuesday? Mine went in Tuesday afternoon, and is still boxing.

 

Awesome new durmat. It seems there are Boeing 747's making trips from penang, malaysia to- taipei, taiwan to - anchorage, alaska - then on to nashville tennessee made by china airlines almost every day to every other day. You can read up on some of the info here

Thanks, vic. My DHL tracking info indicates "Shipment Acknowledged" in Nashville as of 12:00am on the 16th; I assume that's what they put for all shipments on the same day, since my order status didn't go from boxing to shipped until after 6pm EDT on the 16th.

llynskii, I'm not sure when I went into boxing Tuesday, since at that point I was only checking once or twice a day.

That's the only info I have other than the 12:00am acknowledgment...

I've been in boxing since Monday morning. It better ship on Friday. This is ridiculous, I better get some kind of super box or something.

 

I ordered mine at 3pm on Tuesday and around 11pm it was in Boxing. I wasn't made aware of the statuses until around the time I called and found out it was boxing. I've been in boxing ever since.

I called Dell today to try and work a little social engineering but only got "I've flagged your order to be expedited." At least I think that's what she said. Slight language barrier.

Anyway, she promised me my laptop was in the US and will ship in the next 2-3 business days.

 

Boxing for me and others do normally take 2-3 days. Be patient, others have had to wait much longer for them to get even into boxing!
