Who has a ESD: September 10, 2007 ?

I have a ESD: Sep 10, 2007.

Hopefully it wont get delayed.

I ordered on 24 August.

Is it possible for them to ship earlier, or is "Estimate" always used to delay it?

Do you also have ESD Sep 10?

I ordered a Vostro 1700 on 31-Aug, with and ESD of 10-Sep. Went into Boxing on 01-Sep. Seems like it could ship before the ESD.

Ordered my 1520 on the 24th, have an ESD of 9/10 too.

 

I ordered mine on 5 July ESD still on 10 September

 

Mine has ESD 09/10 But I'm in testing right now, so will probably ship before then...

 

yeah..i ordered mine on july 19th..and my esd is 9/10 also ;;

 

aug 14 i ordered, esd is 9/10 but its shipped on the 31, vostro 1400 btw

I ordered mine on 8/31/2007 and y estimated delivery is September 10th.

Where does everyone get these overtly specific statuses though? If I check my status it says In Production and if I look in the FAQ these other statuses you guys keep mentioning aren't even noted (according to the FAQ, In Production represents gathering parts, building, boxing, and preparing to ship).

Anyways, it'd be really nice if it shipped sooner and I got my Vostro 1400 with a nice screen (I'm a little worried since I was forced to get the XGA+ with the package I choose).

 

To get a more detailed order status call the automated order stats line at 1-800-433-9014. That'll tell you if it's being built, tested, boxed, etc.

I called up and they said they my order is in the boxing stage, but said that the estimated delivery date would still be the 10th

Ordered my red 1720 on July 31. Was supposed to get it Sept 10 too, but then Dell delayed it again to October 4th. I hope you get yours sooner!

I ordered my vostro 1700 on the 24 th august and my EDD is 4th sept but purolator told me it gonna be at my doord on the 7th sept or 10 th sept... damn Dell !!

I got a Sept. 10 ESD, though I just checked my oder status online and it shows Sept. 12. I haven't gotten any calls yet, so we'll see what happens.

 

9/10 here too... but in that dreaded BUILD stage still... At this rate I'm adjusting to the reality that it won't make my ESD...

 

my esd was the 10th but i received my laptop today... yay 5 days early xD

 

Considering how long you've been waiting, I don't know if I'd necessarily consider that "early". Less "Dell-ayed" perhaps?

Am I the only one here with a Sept. 10 ESD that hasn't left BUILD!

 

September 10, 2007 ESD here. I fully expect it to be delayed another two weeks. Of course, they'll let me know on 9/11/2007 after I call them as Dell has done for all the previous delays.

 

Mine still says Estimated Delivery Date September 10. I called today cause it's still in Production stage, they said it's on a 5 day back order so it won't even ship until the 12th.

If it really ships on the 12th then that's fine.. 5 days isn't bad, but from what I've seen here this is only delay #1 of many to follow.

Edit: my brother also ordered a 1720 with the exact same config as me 1 day earlier, his ESD was Sept.17 and it shipped yesterday. Bastard! lol

 

I guess Dell is surprising us by showing wrong ESD

 

Yay! Even thought it had an estimated ship date of the 10th, it shipped out today on the 6th! Now, if my screen is to my satisfaction with the Vostro 1400 I'll be a very very happy Dell Camper.

my Esd is sep 10.

And they told me it would be shipped this weekend and i will hopefully recieve it by next week

I had an ESD for the 10th, it was "shipped" yesterday, but after talking with a dell rep, it has been sitting in a warehouse waiting for DHL pick up.

It's not a good thing....they should have daily pick-up or something. People are getting pissed off about delays, you would honestly think it would be in their best interest to send out sooner so people don't cancel. And how 'bout the fact that they said it shipped when the fact of the matter is that it was sitting in a musty warehouse.

Mine entered the Boxing Stage today. I don't know if that means it will be shipped out soon, but I'm optimistic. If it's out by Tuesday, I will recieve my computer on schedule, no delays!

Thus far, nothing to complain about.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but I haven't called a CSR, or tried to get any free stuff, just figured that if they told me 5 weeks from the start, no way they could delay someone after a 5 week wait. Might be right, I hope so!

The thread about tracking the flights inspired me to call the automated line which broke the good news. hopefully in a week or so I'll have that bad boy.

 

Just an update, my 1520 went from build to testing to boxing today 9/8 . Crossing my fingers it ships on the 10th.

 

how can they say there are 0 days delay for most of the colors now but people are placing orders and seeing the esd dates nearly 2-4 weeks out, just doesnt make sense....

 

Mine was delayed again to 9/17/07.
