But after registering, you have to order it. On the same page, the same account. (I'm just recalling for any case).

Anyone living in sweden(or scandinavia) who's heard anything yet?

I can confirm that these disks will install on a non-Dell system and activate successfully. There's still the legal issue with that, however.

Sydney Australia update. Mine arrived this morning, Tuesday 17th at 08.45. Was delivered by Toll, it does require a signature. Originated from Singapore, with a shipped date of 11/11, so 6 days door to door. Haven't opened it yet as I have to work!
Perhaps someone can copy this to the Whirlpool forums, as I can't register at the moment. Aussies will know what I mean -
UK update:
Still haven't received anything, and now my estimated ship date (which was pushed back to the 15th Nov) has now disappeared once again leaving only the status of 'ordered'.
Starting to get really angry with this. -
i received my laptop on 23rd oct and i still can't order my win7 upgrade. lol. somehow my service tag is not inside the upgrade system. now i am trying to contact dell about it.
-
I have contacted dell to ask what is going on, i shall let you know
-
-
which department did you contact?
update: received an email from them and ordered my win7 upgrade -
UK update 2:
shipping date now shows 27 Nov. Over a month since I ordered.
Sent a complaint to dell, too bad it only allows 250 characters, had to edit all the anger out.
@adz1991: have you gotten any info from dell yet? -
I can confirm that my estimated ship date has changed from 19/11 to 27/11 in the UK.
What a pile of poo dell are.
BTW, I am currently running Win 7 Pro. I got my sister to order it for me for a student discount for £30.
Its awesome. -
I received 2 windows 7 DVDs 1 week apart... lol
They both have the same UPS shipment code too, very weird. -
UK update 3:
Just got a shipment email today after taking adz's advice.
Will be happy when it arrives and this ordeal is over.
Have decided to stay away from Dell for future purchases.
Thanks again Adam. -
I have a quick question - I received my disc 2 days ago but haven't had the chance to even open it yet. I did notice however it says on the disc itself - Windows Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit upgrade.
My question is this - I already have Windows 7 RTM running on my laptop as a trial and the intention was to use this disc key to activate it. Is this possible?
Failing that I may need to do a clean install of Windows 7 again but again, is this possible with this disc or is it only going to work over a copy of Vista?
I took Vista off the day I received my laptop as I plain don't like it. -
I'm currently using Vista Home Premium x64 - totally filled with OEM bloatware crap. When I finally get my Win7 upgrade disc - can I do a complete format and will Win7 install clean or will it still contain all dell rubbish?
