    None of you should be complaining. I placed my order on June 12th, it was delayed four, yes FOUR times. The estimated ship date is July 21st, the estimated delivery date is July 24th - July 28th. I called Dell twice, they said there was a delay on the 6 cell battery. A 1.5 month delay on a battery? my ass

    btw, still hasn't left the build stage

    Also I would like to know how some people whose posts i've read have ordered their m1530 in early July, and are already in the boxing/shipping stage, yet my order has taken this long to process and build...

    Man I thought I was going to have a bad bad waiting time. I ordered June 29th but there was a problem with the credit card company that didn't get sorted out until July 2nd. At that point I got my order through and my estimated shipping date was August 4th. I was stunned, but having heard peoples horror stories I wasn't overly stunned.

    As of Friday however my computer moved into the shipping stage and has been shipped. Now the expected date of delivery is July 15th. Cannot wait.

    ordered yesterday from dell.ca and got an email that said it'd be shipped 08/04/08, not bad from what i've seen here. My only concern is when i attempt to check my order status it says it isn't available. Hopefully nothings gone wrong. Does Canada experience these delays people are talking about just like the u.s.?

    Well, sort-of. I ordered my XPS last week on 07/07 and had an Estimated Ship Date of 08/22 (that's pretty far). It shipped Friday and will be delivered on or before 07/18. :)

    There are component-delays. The XPS 1530 9-Cell battery had a 18 days delay last week.

    Now up to 21 days in the everlasting "build" stage. Rang up dell and they guaranteed that i would have it in my hands on or before August 14... I ordered on June 24. So, potentially Dell guaranteed that it would take at the longest to get to me 52 days... :eek: :eek: :eek:

    It's finally moved out of the Build Stage and into Testing (7/15).
    And the Estated Ship date is still tomorrow (7/16), I'm not sure if they will make that date...

    As of 10:00 AM moved into testing! If I'm lucky it will be here by Friday. But more than likely it will be Monday or Tuesday due to the infamous boxing stage.

    Received my M1530 yesterday. Ordered June 12 delivered July 14.

    Overall I'm happy with the laptop. No problems with it so far. The wait and delays were terrible, especially considering I started classes last week. But I'm almost done transferring everything over.

    The email only had this " we are experiencing an unexpected delay and have adjusted the estimated ship date" and when I called the dell rep did not have any other info.

    Ordered on 6-24 with a ESD of 8-7-08....its been 24 days in the build stage. The last time I called dell cs all they told me was that it will arrive before the ESD(not much help). When do you think I should call again?, and have any of you been able to persuade dell into moving your shipping date up???
