    Did the status change on the automated phone order status? Like did it go through testing and boxing etc. before you received it? Because my friend said that his still said that it was in the build stage when DHL dropped it off.

    Also Minnesota FTW! haha

    So i just talked to DHL and its gone from them not having the package at all to all of a sudden its in transit from michigan. the rep said it will be delivered for sure tomorrow

    Haha yeah it went through the different stages......but once the build stage is done it goes pretty quick, if you dont call you could miss the other stages

    Yup, I actually went back to kitting before I went into testing, which lasted a few hours before going into boxing. I can't wait until they ship the thing. Does anyone know where the computers go from Malaysia? Hopefully I'm close to the center to cut down on shipping time.

    I ordered the 15th too!! Although I'm sure we had diff. configs. Still frustrating though.

    I really wish I was more patient I am honestly calling twice a day to check the status. That must not be normal..

    It's weird that my estimated delivery date is the same as the ship date (today)

    Must just be an error, b/c I can't even track the package with puralator yet (assuming that means they haven't even received it yet)

    How long does it take until you can track the order? I've heard about a day?

    I'm just excited to have a new toy to play with...

    Ahem...I meant I need to use this for my college work......

    Well, the shipping date is still set for the 31st of July...do they work on weekends? Does the package move at all during the weekend?

    I was also watching the dell factory tour on youtube...interesting...the boxing stage is all done by a machine...wonder why it would take so long for boxing.

    I contacted a Dell rep about a pricing issue after I ordered, which was fixed, and the rep also expedited my order even though I didn't ask. That was cool, but before I contacted the rep, mine was already in the boxing stage. Ordered on 7/19. Checked online the next day, and it was in production. Called for the first time on 7/23, and it was in the boxing stage. Now it's arriving Monday.

    Online my order is in production. So I called in and the automated order status hot line and entered my order number and it said my order shipped April 9th 1999...WHAT!?! (and I double checked i entered the right number, twice, lol)

    I found a better deal with EPP and canceled the old order, which was still in the build stage an hour ago. Hopefully EPP gets this thing shipped 5x faster.

    Black, T8300, LED LCD, 4GB RAM, 250GB 5400rpm, 8600M GT, 6-cell, same old Vista (may upgrade later if I feel like it). Also other components were better.

    Ordered July 27th.
    Build stage July 27th - ???

    Yup I followed them step-by-step and everything worked get....make sure you put the achi driver on a flash drive or disc to install it during setup.....a lot of ppl forgot that and get the BSOD
