Never dipped below 2100 on core even for a second. I use NVIDIA Inspector to apply the clocks and EVGA Precision X to set K-Boost. If you click the first link and scroll down you can see the graph for clock speeds is a flat line all the way across.

Good score Bro!
Mine might be better with the Thermaltake View 31. Everything is cramped bad in this Codex Box and with my HDD cages blocking intake airflow, it's a miracle I can even run the clocks that I do.
AND, I need to get my GPU up on a "liquid" diet only
.

Agree with all the above. The View 31 front fans will get you an unrestricted flow across the GPU and if you do as I did and have the radiator fans sucking in cooler outside air and blowing that directly onto the GPU back plate it should help the VRMs and VRAM run cooler as well.
I can hardly wait for my Floe Riing to get here. I'm really missing that superior CPU cooling. -

Clock speed on my 1080 dropped 13 mhz

Didn't break 50C on GPU (stock Strix Cooler) or 40C on the CPU, I will work on bringing that score up a bit on the GPU. Ran at 2037mhz most of the bench.

Hang on, I thought you sold your GTX 1080 on ebay and had bought a GTX 1080ti?!

If I were guessing, probably hasn't shipped yet since it is the weekend.Raiderman likes this.

Ha, cheeky devil using his card after he's sold it! (Well, not really, it can be forgiven, it's not quite the same as taking your sold car on a 1000 mile road trip or something!) -
What scores do you get after changing Process priority to Realtime on 1700X?Raiderman likes this.
-
When setting to real time, is it normal to not see the test render? I was about to push the reset button, because I thought my PC locked up.

Best I could get.

Yeah, W10 just does not seem to cut it.
-
Yes, that is normal. At least for me, it seems like it is frozen or something, then suddenly it goes crazy fast as it draws on the screen like a half second.
Totally agree. Windows 10 is trash.
What do you guys get for wPrime 1024M with 1700X and TR?ajc9988, Raiderman, KY_BULLET and 1 other person like this. -

You're joking, right?
Can you push the core count limit to 48 in wprime 32m and 1024m? I'm curious to know about TR.KY_BULLET likes this. -

Was it running at realtime priority or just normal priority?
That's impressive, almost equal to Mr. fox 8700K at 5GHz. Are you using AiO Cooler or CLC?KY_BULLET likes this. -
Normal priority, with a Raystorm pro XSPC loop.

Hydro cooling reservoir. Never seen and built one. Never heard of raystorm? I heard Asetek, Asus, CM, EKWB only.KY_BULLET likes this.

It is a XSPC raystorm pro

Its expensive.
Did you get New BIOS patches for Spectre?KY_BULLET likes this. -
I'll PM you microcode fixes for spectre via VMware tool. Please take a MR backup just in case.
I tried adding some extra lines for patching ryzen cpus. See Hwinfo summary window for before and after changes in uCode section.Last edited: Jan 28, 2018KY_BULLET likes this. -

That is due to over scheduling the threads. Because you are scheduling 300% of physical cores, the data just keeps hitting itself in the scheduler. You can sometimes get better performance in very specific apps by going 1 or 2 cores over the 200% amount, but those are rare and I have not tested it personally (was mentioned in handbrake or some similar program).

A little off topic, but I wanted to ask a question. Is the passmark suite of benchmark tools worth the $27 dollars they are charging? Just seems a little steep to me, but wanted to get your thoughts.

No, I don't think so. Look for it on sale. It is not a definitive benchmark and gets you a big fat zero in points at HWBOT.org. So, it is a bit steep for that price.
Look here http://hwbot.org/benchmarks/ and any benchmarks that do not have an X in at least one of the three columns for points, think long and hard about spending money on them... especially normal retail. Paying money for a benchmark that you cannot earn points with needs to have some pretty decent entertainment value to be worth buying at any price.
It's nice to have to play around with as a "game" of sorts, but you should be able to get it on sale for close to half of that. I own it, but paid around half that much on sale over several versions.

I think your math is off. 6 cores vs 16 is like 266% more cores for TR 1950X. Only 2 cores short of triple the core count, LOL. Or, are you referring to the Ryzen 1700X?
Edit: Nevermind. I thought you were referring to @TANWare's CPU, but you were replying to @Vasudev comments about @Raiderman's 1700X.
With 10 more cores and 20 more threads available doing the work, it had better be at least twice as fast in 1024M in spite of the clock speed difference or something would be seriously messed up. -
-
I don't like Apple, you should say Hercules vs Hercules or Clevo vs Clevo Comparison instead of fruits.
Can u push your CPU past 6GHz? 26C at 5.1GHz so your temps will be 40C.
Any news regarding Intel's Spectre Patches for EOL chips(I mean Ivy,Haswell,SKL,KBL,CFL..)
Are you ready for 9th Gen CPUs with Volta? Or are you gonna buy desktop for H2O/LN2 cooling? -

What do I use to overclock it? After burner?
I hate the UPS driver in my area. Its almost 4:30 pm, and still no card.
I just passed my bruh @Papusan on HWbotPapusan, Vasudev, KY_BULLET and 1 other person like this. -
Yes. Should work. You have to add text to the config file to enable overclocking on AMD to acknowledge it can cause harm or some other asinine thing. If you cannot find it with a quick Google search let me know and I can help you.
Like never curse a farmer while you have food in your mouth.
Awesome! -
So far I cant clock it like I could the standard 1080. I crash the driver with minimal over clocks, 84 mhz on the gpu, and 29mhz in the Vram is a no go.
-
Are you talking about the 1080 Ti? What utility are you using? MSI Afterburner sucks for my 1080 Ti. I don't know why, but overclocks are not stable using it, but are using EVGA Precision OC X and NVIDIA Inspector. Max out the voltage slider, power target and temp target in EVGA Precision OC X.
-
Yep, using XOC, K boost is on, sliders are maxed, fan at 100%, gpu at 1947mhz, and was able to bench 3d Mark 11. Gpu maxed out at 59c.

Did you move the slider voltage up all the way as well? When you installed Precision OC X, was it with the 1080? If so, uninstall it and manually delete the folders for it, then clean install it. Have your S/N ready from the 1080 Ti back plate or the box. It should automatically set itself up specifically for your EVGA GPU model if you use the S/N during setup.

Yes, its still the same from the 1080, but when I opened it, it did an update of some sort, and said it was successful. Maybe I will uninstall all of it, including the driver, and see if I can find an earlier driver also. No I havent been moving the voltage slider all the way up either.
After all this hassle, I can't use the power link either
water cooling reservoir is blocking the end of the card.
