    AMD Radeon HD 7970M video card benchmark result - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz,CLEVO P15xEMx score: P23350 3DMarks

My vantage score went up 3000 points from the stock driver!!!! That's a 15% gain :D This driver is amazing! I played some Crysis Warhead with ZERO slowdown and excellent fps the whole time! With the stock driver and underutilization, I would see constant slowdown in large areas. Thank god we are finally seeing the 7970m's true potential!

My only problem is I can't get MSI afterburner working properly. It just shows 0 on the clocks, and I can't get it to show fps, temp, or utilization. Any ideas on how to fix that?

I'll let you know once I figure out how to monitor utilization and framerates without afterburner. I'll try fraps. I know that there wasn't any slowdown whatsoever in Crysis, which is a major improvement :D

edit: Afterburner is showing fps, but nothing else. I'm getting a constant 60fps in Crysis Warhead, where before it would frequently drop into the high 20s! So happy right now lol

More performance info: Saint's row has also majorly improved. It was one of 2 games that were inplayable with the enduro issues. Now, I stay at a constant 40+ fps while outside driving around/blowing crap up/etc. Before it would drop down to 15 fps and turn into a slideshow. It is soooo much better now.

I am currently on shipped BIOS A08.test with my M17xR4 with HD7970M.

Should I upgrade to A09 before I also apply CCC 12.11?

Can someone confirm for me the best way to upgrade CCC to 12.11 is to remove shipped version of CCC, reboot, run ccleaner, reboot, install CCC 12.11, reboot?

    Thanks

So I added -xcl in properties, then clicked afterburner and nothing happened. I rebooted the computer and opened ccc, but didn't see anything about overdrive. Did I do something wrong, or are there steps I'm missing? Please let me know :) Thanks!

and don't forget to remove -xcl from the shortcut after the reboot, so you don't execute the same command whenever you want to run Afterburner.

Ok, it didn't ask me to reboot, but I did anyway. I went in to remove -xcl and when I did, my computer crashed and I got a BSOD. I think I may have executed the command a couple times... did I screw something up? Should I just restart the process, try adding -xcl and see if it asks me to reboot this time? I'm scared I'm going to screw something up with my noob skills lol

edit: here's what made it crash: I removed -xcl and started afterburner. It shows my clocks now and lets me change them, but whenever I click "apply" my computer crashes with a BSOD. It has happened twice now. What should I do?

They really opened the faucet with these drivers! and it's about time, 400FPS on Tiger Woods 12 was just unplayable ;)

    3DMark11
    12.8 whql P5850 (850/1200) P6633 (974/1560)
    12.11 beta3 P6573 (850/1200) P7311 (970/1560)

Dirt Showdown benchies from original Dell drivers (12.5 I think) to 12.11 beta3 increased by 23%

Nice work AMD, sad, for your good work you get laid off.

Try completely uninstalling Afterburner along with profiles. Then reinstall after reboot.

    Ok, thanks man.

edit: removed and reinstalled. Now it's showing 0 on clocks again and still can't monitor gpu utlization, temperature, or clocks. It will only monitor fps. Should I tr to get overdrive working in ccc or try to do the steps to allow overclocking in afterburner?

Guys, I did a clean install of 12.11 Beta3, but my 3DMark 11 score has dropped from P6900 to P6500. I know I shouldn't give a crap about synthetic benchmarks, especially when I tested BF3 and performance has significantly increased! But I'd really like to know if I'm the only one experiencing this!? Have I missed something? Am I truly not getting the driver benefits upto potential?

    My impressions so far:

3dmark11: 800+ points gain on P score (but does it matter?)
    Skyrim: No complaints.
Sleeping Dogs: Major FPS gain. Benchies from 12.8 Catalyst went up from 36+fps to 55+. And no slow downs what so ever during high speed driving around. Absolutely happy with gains.
Red Orchestra 2: HoS. Much smoother gameplay. But not know fps difference.
Diablo 3: FPS in hundreds. Doesn't look like gained alot tho.

Guild Wars 2. Definetely fixed underutilization here. Even with 60fps limiter I still see screen tearing. Silky smooth gameplay.

I'm only getting BSODs with afterburner, it has been stable since I removed it... I would like to be able to test out overclocks, but my benchmarks are higher now stock than they were when I was overclocked before, so I guess I can't complain. I'm going to try using this driver until the official debugged driver comes out, then I'll install my ssd and do a clean install with the official 12.11 release. As is, I'm very happy with performance, but the afterburner crashes are a pain.
