Are those longterm stable? Did you play with your voltage at all? -
Plus when i tried to see if overvolting it was possible, I couldn't seem to find a program that it would work with...NiBiTor doesn't work (since the last time I tried it anyway).

Ha, looks like I was right! I downloaded the DiRT 2 demo to test my DX11 performance. The demo wouldn't play for some reason, but it did install something involving DirectX.
Yesterday's result: Result

Today's result: Result

So basically my problem with DX11 cut the result in half. Wow.
Now if only my CPU were cool enough to allow me to OC. -
do you guys think a single gpu laptop will be able to break 3k?
-
-
The Revelator Notebook Prophet
I think a 470M/920-940XM might do 3K. Tech17 got over 13K (GPU=10,894) in Vantage with that setup in a Sager 8690. With that, plus the PhysX boost and the increased tessellation performance, it ought to break 3K in 3dMark11.
-
-
3DMark 11 doesn't use PhysX for physic test, it uses Bullet phyiscs engine for physics test (CPU only)

Not too bad methinks for my spec (see below) , did one more run and came out at P3921....
Gonna try and uninstall/reinstall CAP profiles as CAP 4 is out and release notes say improved crossfire for 3dmark 11....might give some more points eh? - will see...wouldnt mind breaking 4k....

Yeah the AMD CPU is showing up as being really anemic in these tests, there has to be a way of overclocking it other than pin mod (which might not work depending on what PLL it has).
-
AMD CPUs have been inferior to i7 arch since the day it came out. Only when you do hugely multithreaded stuff (video encoding) on a 6-core Thuban does it beat a 4-core i7. The uarch is barely changed since K8, and 3800+ X2 were outpaced by the first Conroe waaaaay back when.
Shows the K8 was well designed though, way back when it was. Let's see if their genuinely new CPUs (Dozer) can really shine. Especially if they OC well... anything would be better than what's capable with SB(except of course the pay-more-for-identical-CPU tweakable versions)
I'm just thread crapping because I only have a G92-based DX10-capable GPU -
where do you get this program? Interested to see what score i get with my G73.
I think i'll have a heart attack when i see my score from what i'm seeing here

i tried runnin the test a little while ago and my NP8850 went loopy. i got to the combined GPU + CPU test. it started up for a few seconds then the screen went black for about 30 seconds. all of a sudden my caps lock, num lock, and scroll lock lights started flashing, along with a BEEP BEEP BEEP sound. my lights flashed and the beeping went on for about a min then my laptop shut off. during the whole time, i was feeling the air coming out of my exhaust and it was pretty cool. nothing out of the norm.
should i be worried? i did have a weird driver crash about a week or 2 ago. after the crash my screen was acting really strange. there were tears and artifacts everywhere. i barely made it out enough to download a new driver off of the nvidia site, and do a driver delete/install. everything returned back to normal after that. -
stock or over clocked?

Updated to CAP 4 and absolutely no difference whatsoever...so much for improved crossfire performance....same point score for me and infact, sometimes, less.....
Any chance ive done something wrong....i just saved the CAP 4 to desktop and ran it....thats it!
Anyone else noticed no improvement with this set of profiles? -
Just to be clear, i did have the latest drivers from the nvidia website.
I reran the test twice since the first time didn't work, and it succesfully completed both times.
