The Combined Test/Black Screen problem with some configurations seems to be primarily a SystemInfo issue. They're working on a patch In the meantime, most people can avoid the issue and complete the test by unchecking "Scan SystemInfo" on the Help tab. Might work for you.

1956 on the laptop, 7k on my desktop

I know this is a little OT, but what are your desktop's specs? With a score like that, I'm really curious.

Started to mess with my m15x (i7 620m, nvidia 460m), i can see some improvemnts in this card with some more mature drivers, however i've got a mild overclock with a core@701 and shader@1402 and everything is still too cool, temps are still around 60c and i'm in a heated room.

Nice! - d'ya think that was any way part due to the 10.12 drivers? - can see the gpu OC - can you do anything with the 720qm OC wise? -
CPU was OC'd as well to 1858 MHz. I'm not sure how much the 10.12 driver helped, probably not a whole lot.

I can see why you miss your old XM fella.....

Nice results. But I believe the 10.12 have improvements for CF on 3Dmark 11
-

Would be nice to think so but from what ive seen on here with people benching '11 with 10.12 drivers, there isnt much in it... http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...icial-m17x-benchmark-thread-part-3-a-593.html
Last post or two show how much difference one user got and it was negative ! (give or take the impact of running gpu-z in the background which wouldnt be much afaik)
Also, CAP 4 said that it offered improved c/f performance for x/fire and when i installed that CAP, no difference.....thats AMD for you i guess...empty promises to a degree... -

Just on a side note, regarding 3dmark11...does anyone else get a fair bit of "garbage" on the screen between tests?......it aint smooth transition between tests for me...quite a fair bit of junk on the screen as each test ends and a new one begins......current on 10.11 CAP4
-
where can i download this? Really interested to see my score! Can someone plz post a link?
Thanks
Panther214 -
Nope no junk during transitions for me. Are you overclocking?
-
steviejones133 Notebook Nobel Laureate
Nope! - i do get some junk on the screen between tests....as they close and open, a fair bit of what i would call "debris" .....colours bit like a screentest....it only lasts a split second before the next test loads...kinda flashes between them really....
I mention it as I read somehwere about Futuremark putting a fix (i think on '06) to reduce the amount of screen garbage that some users were seeing....
Just hope nothings worng with my screen...other than '11, it seems to be fine.... -

Ok, so im still getting this "junk" between tests....its when one ends and before the start of the next one....
Have since updated to 10.12/10.12 CAPS which ohterwise work fine...no real improvement in scores mind...
Also, decided to uninstall and reinstall '11....just the same....
Ideas??? -
Got P2095 on stock Asus G73JH with i7-740qm. Obviously M15x can't beat it in anything other than temps

New version of 3dMark11 available (updated) here:
http://www.3dmark.com/3dmark11/download/update/
Some slight improvement in score...up by 20pts to 3940.....but now, when running basic version, the displayed screen is heck of alot smaller with huge black border all around it .... -
Driver Status: Not FM Approved
Whats FM mean? And does it affect the score?
Do these scores seem right? Seems low.

Not "FM" approved means that they arent on "FutureMark's" list of drivers that they "have" approved yet....likely because they are new drivers and just havent got around to it really.....dont worry about it and no, it wont affect your score in any way - then benchmark will score the same approved or not - just that FutureMark wont let you publish an "official" result with drivers they havent signed off as "approved" ...chances are they will get FM status in the near future when they get around to it
As for your score, I would say that it probably is right - even people with the highest laptop spec arent getting 5k+ on it....have a scroll back through the thread an see if you can spot a result with similar spec to what you have and compare! -
Actually, I think that you graphics score is a little low. It seems a bit closer to mine than it should be.

You are very lucky you can run with that kind of overclock figure stable. Mine crashes at 1100 after like an hour. I am downloading 3DMark11 so I will give you a taste of how a 5870M FirePro runs like!
