    Same version as yours.

1st of all the P170EM doesn't have CPU throttling like the P150EM. 2nd how will throttlestop help with graphics card throttling..?

    hey eddie
ive been doing the same thing with my laptop.
ive got an msi gt70 gtx680m with processor i7 3840 and these are the results of my last 4 tests. I got the latest drivers from nvidia and the latest from intel and i got throttlestop on.
Here are the results of 4 more test done consecutively.
First test : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3840QM,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1762 score: P6115 3DMarks
Second test: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3840QM,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1762 score: P4657 3DMarks
Third test: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3840QM,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1762 score: P6127 3DMarks
Fourth test: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3840QM,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1762 score: P5445 3DMarks
note that same conditions for all tests. msi afterburner is running in background along with google chrome.
notice that the results are inconsistent, the one most varying is the combined score. at times i run the combined test at 20fps or more sometimes at barrely 10fps.
if anyone got any ideas please help.

I have a Clevo P150EM and always thought it had lackluster performance.

    Here's a 3dmark 11 score from a few days ago:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3610QM Processor,CLEVO P15xEMx

I noticed that the GPU was reaching 90C and throttling down a lot, my CPU was also reaching 98c and never clocking up to turbo mode. So I opened it up and cleaned up the rather botched thermal paste slop job that the manufacturer had done (annoying as I had paid extra for better paste and I had never checked it before the warranty ran out). Re-applied some arctic silver 5 in a nice thin layer to both the GPU and CPU which has knocked off a good 30c from load temps.

Most recent 3dmark 11 test score:
