It is not usefull at all, I explain :
Your tweak just touch to the turbo boost TDP and not the nominal TDP (the one without turboboost)

You just have to desactivate the turbo boost when you are on battery in the windows power management, in the cpu maximum state on battery tab. (you put it at 99% and not 100%, so it desactivate the turbo boost)
Then, you can raise up your turbo boost multiplier and put to max the TDP, because it will work when you are plugged.

So with that you have the best performance without battery and the lowest perf/consumption ratio when your are on battery (typically the announced CPU TDP at maximum, so 37w for i7 4702/4712MQ and 45w for all the others CPUs).

for example, what I did with my 4702MQ :

    Battery :

    STATE : Min : 0% / Max : 99%
    Frequencie : 799 - 2200mhz with 4 cores
    TDP MAX : 37w

    Plugged :
    STATE : Min : 100% / Max : 100%
Bios prema mod : multiplier maxed out
    4cores : @3,1ghz (stock 2,9ghz)
    3cores : @3.1ghz (stock 2,9ghz)
    2cores : @3.3ghz (stock 3.1ghz)
    1core : @3.4ghz (stock 3.2ghz

TDP MAX set to 255 (maxed out, so the CPU take what it needs, doesnt matter because i'm plugged)

Are the mobile nVidia drivers any good? I might consider getting my next laptop with an nVidia GPU as the one I'm using now has a AMD GPU.

It is a simple request. Some people over at TI put in a ton of work and offer it up for free. You want their work, post five times. The easiest thing to do is to find a thread that interests you and participate.

Its not 5 posts, its 5 moderated posts that contribute something to the community. So therefore, something like 50 posts, perhaps even 15 articles, then maybe 5 of those are of a sufficiently high peer reviewed standard to be accepted. It's a good system to maintain quality, to weed out trolls and to eliminate the selfish grab and goers etc etc but to be honest, the last forum I participated in with this kind of harsh vetting system slowly rotted away over the years as it became too prohibitively hard to get new members.

So much for Maxwell running cool.

Wait, you mean +33.1 mV, right?! Because +331 mV would take it to like 1.4 V which is just insane. I'm not sure that's even possible. If it is, it's dangerously high, and would explain the abnormal temps.

Finally found the time to check out my own card for the first time.

I can not be called a "bencher" at all, but initial results are looking good to me on this GTX860M (in Clevo W230SS):

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4702MQ,Notebook W230SS

This little Maxwell Monster clocks north of 1400Mhz...while remaining below 70c...this is still just with the same mod vBIOS I made for everyone...let's see... :)

On a side note Prema Mod vBIOS 82.07.0C.00.A0 >>> now also works flawlessly on my WQHD screen with new system BIOS PM v2 beta

I think a screenshot will not work. Screenshots dont show the true picture how the lcd panel is showing it. My bad i have no camera and only a Moto G that does do really bad pictures.
