AMD C-50 CPU and 6250 GPU performance(Acer 522 review)

nope i dont have those games...i have BF2 , ser. sam 2d, morrowind, fifa2008, nfs MW, ....and others are on my old post

 

I'm certain that the C-60 is more powerful than the c-50. There's plenty of example better WEI score, 3DMark , Passmark, etc. It's true bench mark is not always reliable but it's a START.

Now there's plenty of other aspects to the equation. For an example RAM, OS, Hard drive and windows optimization.

If we have 2 system that are the exact same and one with a C-50 and C-60, the C-60 will out perform the C-50. It's not always that case because computers have multiple components hard drive ram etc. Some ship with different hard drive and type of ram (the other problem is defect). Although usually the issue is optimization of the computers (Windows system). So check there first . Drivers, Defrag, Registry, Etc etc

man yu are doing benchmarks in windowed mode?!...thats not good, yu should get more fps in fullscreen...also why the turbo mode is changing so dramaticly? so turbo mode use 2 cores... c60 must be faster than...

hey mates, anybody know how to run crysis on this netbook? all i've got was a black screen after launched (as i thought it would display logo screen) then it crashed...i've tried compatibility or run as admin, and neither work

Yeah, I'm that guy. Still having issues. I might try back on starter from the restore partition just to make sure all the drivers are ok, then go back to ultimate 64bit.

There was another guy who posted here that has some vids on youtube that show these machines running crysis 2. Dunno how he got it working though

It runs WoW and Devil May Cry 4 like the original 11.11. I might run a 3dmark06 to compare both of them later. What's the main difference Krishna.

crysis 2 maybe...it could run, but laggy...
i've seen an acer 522 benchmark that show crysis run great (25-30fps)..but i dunno how to get it working...geez

 

StarCraft2 is unplayable after the 1st mission. It's CPU intensive games and the CPU can't handle too many units. The graphic card is fine i don't recommend that game on the c-60 or even the c-50

Results: 11.11c gives me a mark of 1829 vs 1735 quite a bit of change , ~100 points

The driver should help too, try the 11.11c
AMD releases Catalyst 11.11c performance driver

It says it increase performance from 3-7% for skyrim and other optimization. 3dmark06 is base off of direct x 9c so not sure about the direct x11. From my Mark score it's about a 5.1% differences and increase in performance.

I took someones recommendation on a driver but you never know until you test it to see if it's true or just word play

 

i know this sounds dumb ... doesn't the cc package include the directx hairball? I've been accustomed to loading it separately but always wondered

 

oh, what's with amd's driver lately? too many of them with different versions.. i just installed 8.93 29nov...and wanna try the 11.11c...but, the question is..can anybody suggest which driver is the BEST (mean in performance for us) for our hd 6250/6290? updated driver maybe good for high end cards, but sometimes not for low end cards (like ours)..
based on my experience, i think it's cat 11.5 and 11.7 the most stable one

 

Download it and bench it and post the results

 

you must try...i dont have many problems with drivers for apu, i was more judging from desktop gfx card but it has new features anyway....

BF2 is running perfectly on nice detials

 

I don't have any hope, it wasn't play to play wc3x, dota and that's only like 10 people running around. BF3 is probably too much.

PS: on the graphic driver 8.93 I have screen tears but 11.11c solve that problem fyi

i played 64 pl no problem...just buy basic bf2 ...i buy master colection and only bf2 serial is working , yu can check some older post i wrote there are detail settings that worked

I get occasional top screen tear and reboot solves that issue, anyone else having this issue .

Highly playable on 1280x600. It seems, since I was using pirated version, the crack I was using is awful

With 5 post, we can conclude that AMD c APU Does able to play games

 

i've got a new issue here, sometimes there are crazy many white artifacts in my screen...i dunno what could cause it to happen...but it looks like hardware failure, did it happended to anyone else?

hey guys something happened...either it's a bug or amd gave us a gift...after i upgraded to 11.12 catalyst i ran a street fighter 4 bench and it kept calling my 6250 a 6310, so i followed up by looking at the hardware in the vision control center and it also came up as 6310 and also in gpuz aswell. sadly I have also notice a performance drop so it may very well be a bug...

 

Can only assume it's a simple identification bug in the INF file for the 11.12 driver. I went straight from the 11.11c preview to 12.1 preview driver and it still correctly calls it like every driver set has before: "AMD Radeon HD 6200 series Graphics"

But a mere misidentification like that shouldn't cause a performance drop. Likely something in the driver itself is just slightly slower than the previous set.

 

Well, I just installed 11.12 and got the 6310 gpu on my c-50 also. So, I ran a new windows index score and I got a one point increase on my Aero Performance though nothing for the graphics portion of the windows index.

It would be interesting to hear the graphics/aero window index scores of those who own the c-60.

Edit, Looking back through this thread, many people were posting aero window index scores of 4.1 for their c-50's. most likely I hadn't run a windows index since I had first installed the OS and updating the index produced the extra point (for whatever reason), not a new 6310 gpu.

 

There is something really wrong with this driver, or I am ,,,,well, check this driver out ,,, you must. But, my c-50 is running at crazy speeds now.

And, I question whether this is healthy for the apu. My acer isn't overheating, but it's scary fast, and gpuz is showing the gpu core clock sensor showing
2000 mhz gpu core clock. The last poster said he had a performance drop, well, this is ridiculous. I don't think the gpu is running at 2000 mhz, so something is very odd about all of this. Not a troll, spouting fiction.

Everything is faster, even typing these words, it's way faster. I don't know, I will restart the computer. Hopefully my acer doesn't blow up.

I just don't understand. I played virtual tennis 3, and it was super fast, so perhaps a weird glitch. Please test this 11.12 and see what's up.

 

Ok, here is a link to a snapshot of gpuz tab showing c-50 as 6310 with gpu core clock at 2000mhz. No wonder this netbook is scary fast. I sent information to amd. now i will turn off this netbook, before it explodes.

I think it is a normal software bug. The 2000mhz are far away von possible.
I also wonder how you can feel speed improvement by typing a text....
Need to see benchmarks to believe it.

well, a user from the amd forums stated that I should go to a restore point, or used acer drivers for the netbook because I uninstalled 11.12 and it's still O.C'd. Yeah, it's faster for sure. There doesn't seem to be any overheating, I wonder if I can keep this and the c-50 will stay safe?

Question about Brazostweaker. I'm using it with my E-350 and don't see a way to save different profiles like wiht K10Stat. Is there a way to execute different profiles on demand? One for low power and one when you need/want high performance?
