i have got problem with my asus driver to ati hd 2600 restart but case not about hot to ati for driver issues because problem time never guess .
-
Fireexecuter, I didn't understand a thing you just said.
-
... i guess
how about trying another driver? go to ati, download the latest catalyst driver and modify it with the mobility modder from driverheaven.
this could solve your problem with the driver restarting. -
Now i use XP and i use ati xp driver . Example for today :2 times suddenly graphic become 8 bit color quality . So i manually restart and say thank u god .because before that when crash driver automatic restart nothing to do in word or excel recovery mode for >1 min set time for DRP -
Interesting case i give my laptop to Asus Service and 3 days later they say we change your hdd and your problem solution but they are wrong still my problem goes on and Asus and Ati finish for me. -
Fireexecuter, I still can't understand what you are trying to say. Are you typing in a different language than English, and maybe the translation is getting whacked?

Man - I wonder what took his text, garbled it up, and spit THIS stuff out...

Yes, HD2600>8400m gs. In fact, HD2600>8600m GS.

why is this topic at a stand still? There is still alot to talk about concerning the HD2600. I kept reading to see if someone can give me an actual explanation as to why it is my HD2600 can't get a mem clock past 500. I ran Devil May Cry 4 with clock speeds of 700 core and 500 memory and I played the game at the highest resolution. AA off, vertical sync off, and the game gave me min FPS of 30, an average of 35 and a max of 40. Lately my screen has gone blank and I had to drop my core clock to 600 to get stability and my average frame rates dropped to 30.
I am using catalyst 8.10 modded naturally, and at default clock speeds of 500 and 400 I got vista score of 5.3 gaming and 3d graphics and areo interface of 5.9. Let it be clear that those are the maximum results you can get for the windows benchmarks. although DMC says i need a 5.6 to play. Strange eh?
I too have a toshiba A200-1M8 so i am interested in what info I can get.
From what I have read from other forums the 8600m GT not GS but GT, when overclocked gets to unbelievable temperatures and people who own them complain about this. I think its the same for all the Nvidia chips, which is why ATI are known for OC potential. I believe that its because NVIDIA generally sets there clocks at higher levels. But all this is just assumption on my part. HAHA
