Bad Company 2 Friends

My PC is alive! The top fan took the brunt of the spill. I disassembled the whole case and put it in the shower including the top fan. I dried everything real good for a few hours and fired her up last night. Stress tested everything seems to be fine.

I will definitely be putting the computer under the desk instead of beside it now.

 

Patriot - Nothing makes the stomach sink like seeing a drink spilling on the puter in slow motion... just thinking about it makes me wanna hurl.

I think I will. It's not a big deal since they only play COD2, MW and BC2. I already told them that I have plans to join a guild for an upcoming MMO sometime this year.

 

I've been playing every now and then, but I don't see anyone else online. I've actually been playing a lot of Squad Deathmatch lately; I'm liking the smaller maps/opponent count. The 4v4v4v4 adds a pretty cool dynamic to the game. I find that it's a lot more personal, and a lot slower paced which can be refreshing every now and then. It'd be pretty awesome to arrange a Squad Deathmatch game against the HRgamers crew and have an NBR squad linked up on TS! :yes: :yes: :yes:

 

Just tried playing BC2. Tried 3 servers...all of which had incredibly imbalanced teams skill wise and the teams I happened to be assigned to were getting steamrolled.

Tried 2 other servers besides those 3, they were lag fests. This is why BC2 is frustrating to play and I always hesitate to play it because I fear I will just run into these issues again and again.

Had a few good rounds with spaghetti and htwingnut tonight.

 

Was good, except first couple rounds I played on the server I chose 0/8k/d and 0/11. Couldn't kill a darn thing. Then got a little better.

 

usapatriot was frag-tastic. (what an excellent wordplay joke)
htwingnut was great too... once he stopped being the bullet magnet and uncrossed his eyes

Hey guys, I have been playing with the HRGamers clan and they are proving to be pretty cool guys. Good players and they don't take the game too seriously. You should definitely check them out if you get a chance and are looking for folks to play with!

 

Me too, their server isn't full of Gustav nubs or sniper camper fest.

 

But these people are the most fun to kill. And honestly, Medics are moving into the top of my list as most hated class. Nothing fumes me more than mowing down an entire squad and having a medic come undo what I did in a few seconds. It would be nice if I could respond to this situation, but you can't kill that which is invulnerable.

I'm getting kinda board with the game TBH. It doesn't have the draw that BF2 did for some reason. I dunno. Just played today for the first time in several days. I think I need to find a new game already... Good thing Starcraft 2 is coming up in a couple months. I know I'll have tons of fun with the single player campaign and toying around with making maps and playing skirmishes against the AI and a couple friends of mine.

But I might have to play with those HRGamers guys just to help get a couple more insignias and pins. I need 3 more squad defend orders to get one insignia, and defend 4 flags to get another pin and insignia. That should boost me another 12,000 points or so. After that, most other insignias require a lot of effort and don't know if I have the patience any more...

 

So is the patch out?

 

Nope, and they are no longer giving an ETA for the already 1.5 week late patch. I don't mind waiting, I just hope it actually fixes a whole bunch of issues. I could care less about class/weapon balance at this point; I just want all the bugs fixed and the hit registration improved.

 

My god. This game has had major issues since release and DICE apparently isn't putting too much effort into fixing them. Last I heard they had like one programmer working on the patch. Apparently the team is too busy working on other games unlike the forgotten yet broken since release BC2.

Things like this dissuade me from buying anything from DICE ever again. It's not as bad as IW did with MW2. But still, it's not a nice thing to do.

I will definitely reevaluate my purchasing options once the new Medal of Honor and Battlefield 3 come out.

 

Ditto! Now I just sit and laugh sometimes sneaking up behind someone knifing them like three or four times and nothing happens. Pull out my shotgun and back up 10 feet and two shots right on. The sniper finally sees me and shoots me once with a handgun and I fall. LOL.

And then I launch a 40mm right at a persons feet, unroll an entire clip into them as they charge towards me, and then I die with a couple shots from their uzi and they end up with 60% health.

I think the real game is guessing where you SHOULD shoot someone, because it sure isn't directly at them.

 

i played a round of rush as a defender on the islands map.

12 snipers and 1 guy in a tank firing from miles away. of course they never got anywhere but it was the longest, most drawn out round ever. no fun AT ALL. i only stayed in to wait til our attacking round in which me and my friend went on an mcom blowing spree, ending our entire attack victorious in about 10 minutes max. I HATE IT when whole teams pick snipers, cos the only way to defend against that, is be a sniper. then it's sniperwars. pointless.


but by no means saying the game is bad, it's brill and i love it, before sean comes in and starts bigging up MW2

 

A Russian blog managed to get a leaked copy of the patch and posted some screenshots of the chat system and chopper flares: Bad Company 2 PC Patch R8 Preview. A DICE employee on Twitter said if QA finds nothing wrong, the patch could be out as early as next week.

 

I just jumped in today after a long hiatus, and after 10 mins, this is it.

Did they patch this game? Because I've been doing extremely well the last few rounds. I'm afraid to stop for too long! lol.

I feel like my rounds are hitting and killing people when I actually shoot at them. Maybe they did a server side update. Who knows.

 

Funny....I got my @rse kicked the last 2 nights I've played. Name is Ghost_AWP. Just found this thread. Love it! Read the first few pages and then had to skip to the end. So I have no idea what's going on..much like in the game. Was there ever a NBR clan created?

No specific NBR clan, but if you want, throw "NBR" in the clan field so we can know you're part of us when you're online and we see you. Also, click on my "Join the NBR TS3 Server" in my signature if you want to join in voice chat with us. No set times or anything, just join in and have fun with people if they're online at the same time. Better than the in game friends list because that's all but broken.

I think BC2 will be popular until BF3 is released.

 

how do you install the MapKit? Ive looked in every dang folder.

Killing someone with an RPG is respectable; an M60 has more splash damage than that thing.
