I have 3 computers running 3 different BF:BC2 versions and on none its functioning properly. Anyone got same problems/ solutions? I send the requests, they send the requests and nothing appears.

 

Well I got home and now have 6 friends; mtshadow, ToyoPl and Zymphad from before and now sobek, The_CrappyKiller and Chewie_77 are listed.

Sent new requests to RAID Noir and djfakey. Let me know if they actually go through!

 

Looks like I'll have to go back and send out requests again. Some that I had are gone, and a couple showed up. Weird.

I'm still not getting 12 kills. I get around 2-4 kills for each conquest now, but at least I'm only dying 2-6 times.

Game is still not that interesting though, but I don't get lost as often now.

It would be cool to play with some of the people from NBR.

 

We should set up an NBR BC2 game night. Just find an empty server and have at it. I can support ten to tweleve people on my teamspeak without negative effects I think. It's running from my home server, so kinda limited, but it doesn't use much bandwidth.

 

Teamspeak is good, depending on how many people use steam it has some kind of built in chat. I hear its really good but I have never used it.

I just bought the game from gamestop for $43.00 shipped, but then canceled like 10 minutes later. Im trying to limit my spending as much as possible and thought I would hate the disk version and prefer the steam version so I can just download and play and not worry about downloading updates @ fresh install or needing a disk in the drive to play.

I may hate the fact I have almost 100% converted to digital download for new games later in life if I find myself without high speed internet though...

Anyways if I change my mind I may as well get the game from Amazon its $37.00 shipped.

 

I have used TeamSpeak 2 for the longest time. Just installed TeamSpeak 3 server recently, but haven't really tried it. It does have built-in text chat, and is a lot more streamlined and feature-filled that TeamSpeak 2.

Pretty simple to install, except unless you want it to run as a service (so you don't have to log in to the WHS for it to start). Then not so simple, but I managed.

BC2 has built-in VOIP, but it seems to be broken, and only good for those in your squad.

 

I used to use Ventrillo or Team Speak when I was a world of warcraft player I forget which one worked better.

I think Xfire does voice chat too these days.

 

I have a 32 man server and a ventrilo we can use.

 

When I played WoW, there was no comparison between Teamspeak and Ventrilo. Teamspeak was garbage and ventrilo was heaven.

It's still the same. Teamspeak 3 is not much better than Teamspeak 2, still sounds horrific in comparison to Ventrilo, even skype sounds like dog pile in comparison.

 

I dunno. TS has always worked great for me. I could never get Ventrillo to work. Kept getting spotty connections and voice breaking up. For me TS just worked from the get-go. I didn't want to spend much time fussing. Besides it sounds fine to me, I just need to know what someone is saying for a split second, not a conversation. And I hate people that ramble during a game session.

 

I heard there's a new patch coming today which will hopefully fix many of the issues user's have been experiencing.

should be this one:

When clicking on a server to join, nothing happens.

This is fixed in a patch going out on PC today.

I just bought this today from Steam. I'm not very good, but it's quite clear to me that this game is absolutely amazing. My name on there is the same as it here.

Hope nobody minds me asking some off topic stuff. I jumped right into multiplayer. I'm totally new to Battlefield, though I know it's a good series.

1. Can you toggle crouch somehow?
2. Is there a way to hold your breath while sniping for a second or two to steady your aim?
3. On the foreign team (Russia?), can you make their voices in English? Maybe I set something incorrectly.

Hmm... can't think of more. Anyway, back to playing!

Yes, cover your nose and your mouth when you're sniping.

Why would you want them to speak English? I shoot anyone on the battlefield that speaks English when I'm on the Russian team.

 

I believe there's an option for "English VO only". It makes it hard to hear enemies though since everyone is speaking the same language. It would be awesome though if they made it English with the respective thick accent. "Nucwear Wessel"

I believe if you change the "Enemy Team VO" from "Original" to "Localized" it will be in English.

Mine is Chris Redfield83, i'm still learning tips for this game... previously i had Battlefield 2 and bf2142.

This game is really good, to bad that my 9600m GT doesnt work in high, but still good. Any optimal configuration for this graphic card that someone use?
