Bad Company 2 Friends

A lot of backstabbing and a insane amount of luck(ping is my main enemy)

 

I'm really bad. I don't know how. I'm pretty decent with BF2. It seems I get shot by the same weapon I'm using with one or two shots and I'm dead. I seem to get every bullet in my weapon into them and they keep on moving. Yes, I do short controlled bursts. I was even standing right behind someone with the gun to their head, pulled the trigger they didn't die, they turned around and shot me one shot and I was dead. I don't get it.

 

ping is your enemy...I think. There is also a slight hit detection problem,

The wierdest was when i knifed a person, his body has reacted that it was hit and there was blood, then he shot me i died

 

Maybe I'm just very trained with BF2's hit detection and it's different for BC2. I have a 50% k/d ratio which is horrendous.

 

Yeah I have bad luck in bad company 2 also. I feel like i'm unloading into people only for them to turn around or bunny hop and then kill me in a few shots.

 

haven't touched this game yet.

I'm sure it's murdered to death, but how does is compare to MW2 multi to you guys?

 

lol, mate thats frustrating isnt it, for me i think Recon and Medic classes are a little overpowered........ i really liked the hardcore servers but it gets a little frustrating when you have a team of 16 of which there are 10 recon class.........it would be cool if you could only have one of each class per squad, making for four evenly balanced squads......wuldnt that be nice only having to come up against four recon and medic classes...ohhhh heaven

 

Where's artillery when you need it? LOL.

 

Sort of like America's Army's squad setup?

 

dont even need it, i got a 8 kill streak using my knife by flanking a group that was set up just like that, five snipers and a assault and medic, just slowly worked my way through the two squads....



they where totally clueless as to my presence, im fairly sure i could have sat down next to them and sharpened my knife and they would have left me alone.

What's with the ping in BC2? All the servers that I connect to are like 150 ~250, and so is everyone else. Strangely ping show up quite low like 15~25 in server browser.

Someone else mentioned it's not ping in the traditional sense (packet to and from server) but the data sent from your machine and processed through the server then back to you and processed by your machine. I thought it was odd too. But actually that method makes more sense. Kinda scary though to think most of the time there's a quarter to half second lag in a lot of cases.

 

Updated list. I have sent to everyone on this list, but still only have 13 friends listed.
I have been playing on SCE's servers mostly. Anyone else have some favorite servers?

but... for some reason once in a while BC2 will just completely exit and boot me to my standard windows home screen without warning or alert telling me that something happened.
Does anyone know why this might be and how do I fix it? ANyone have it happen to them?

lots of people with the same issue(myself included). Needs a patch.

 

Make sure you go here:

and make sure you update your PunkBuster. That usually fixes CTD's for me.

 

Does anyone else have any issues with the in game friend's list? My list got deleted...

 

Haha, I believe you got me a few times also!

Theros, a lot of us have had that problem. We just went through and resent all the invitations and hoped they went through!

i'm going to blame this as my poor k/d ratio thus far.

 

Have some seen what could be "leaked" BF3 screenshots? Hinting at BF3 will be using the Frost Engine, same as BC2.

mines botmaniac, just like on here. same with steam if anybody wants that too. playing is sometimes frustrating though, college campus internet FTL...

 

Just got BC2 the other day, will be registering online tonight and posting up my name. I'm used to counterstrike:source for years, but will get used to this after a couple of days.
Hope to play with some members here.

 

Dont forget even if you do not have the Steam version of the game (like me since I got the $20 sale on EA Downloader) you can add it to steam as a non steam game so your steam friends still see when your online and in game.

Also I created a friends list tracking tool that may get posted here soon to help take the effort out of manually hunting down friends list names and add some organization to the list.

I am also the owner of the NBR Steam Gamers Group, so if you do use Steam make sure to join that group so you can game with fellow NBR gamers.

Don't worry. I'm pretty horrible myself. K/D Ratio = 0.49, Avg lifetime 45 sec. LOL.

 

it's depressing going from a 2+ on COD to .2 ratio. i blame my mouse right button.

 

That's your issue right there. It's your RIGHT mouse button, not your mouse right button!

 

I had a 1.0 K/D ratio from start to end and only been playing for a few hours till one game where I had to spawn right next to to a tank like 30 times in a row.

I got a tank a few times but every time very quickly somebody insta killed me with C4. I cant see those guys around me, but I swear each time I tried it I was spotted very quickly for some reason even when approaching from behind.

Also not sure why but my minimap is gone, I can only see it when I press and hold tab, and thats a big handicap. It used to be there on all the time, and part of my minimap is behind a bezel on my multi monitors setup so thats a slight handicap too.

 

Minimap is gone if you are on hardcore server. And also I don't believe the indicator carats are there either for the enemy.
