True mate! lol. I got a studio 15 for the missus just 3 weeks ago. Same specs as yours hollywoodlights, but with 6GB ram and the 4570 512mb version. Ohh and minus the blu-ray. It's a really nice machine I have to say, I have been blown away by it's performance.

You and me both. I always thought pc games were a myth until my dad let me custom build this through dell (shows how stingy he was with desktops LOL)

Luckily my birthday is coming up in november and then christmas a month after, I gave my mom a list of games I want. With any luck I will get some of them so I can make up for lost time. Thats why most of the games I have bought since I got this are packs. Grand theft auto classics collection....medal of honor tenth aniversary edition....the sims 2 double deluex. I love the machine though. Fastest computer I have ever worked on, bar none.

Yeah mate they are nice. I love the slot load drive! Wish my M1730 had one. Nice screens they have too. Out of interest have you run 3dmark06 on yours yet?? Not that it really matters as it seems to have little reflection on realworld performance these days. If you don't already have steam then I would recommend you get it, it's excellent really.

Just incase question 3 is what is google. Lol. 3dmark06 is a free to use benchmark tool that is a popular way to test your laptop. And steam is an service which you can use to buy games online and simply download and play then(on or off-line). They have an excellent selection and I find it to be a great service.

Sleepy0 can I just ask mate how you find gaming on your M17x. Not sure what games you play, but I assume you have tried crysis on there. Just interested to know the performance. It's just hard to glean actuall real world performance from all these endless benchmark topics I see.
    Cheers.

Nonsense. I have access to both versions and I can with out a shadow of a doubt say that they look identical albeit the PS3 version does seem to have the upper hand in lighting/shading in certain areas of the game.

I have seen quite a few people buying specific versions so they can play as the joker, some didn't even buy the PC version only due to this. You do realise that it is very likely that the PC will have a mod of some sort that will eventually add the joker as a playable character.

WOW this game is really great. To be honest, seeing the videos, trailers and having in mind all the hero's games suck, I didn't think much of the game. But since I played the demo (yesterday), I have already pre-ordered it and believe me I don't pre-order games (except COD:MW2; I mean, come on, who won't pre-order it).
I am so looking forward to playing it. I love the graphics, the atmosphere, the dialogue, the animation, the combos etc. I could go on and on.
I already hate the fact that I have to wait 3 weeks longer than the consoles' release.
But ok, it has PhysX (btw, who cares and who is using it? :err:), better graphics and resolution (which I can use :D) and it is much cheaper :D, £25 here compare to £40
Great Job Rocksteady Studios, well done.
I just hope there are gonna be some free DLC content

Don't mean to be a killjoy, but that was a terrible trailer. The villians look absurd, the hero looks unrealistic, and everything else looks awful.

This is my favorite game for now, the demo did it no justice. I judged it early based on the demo thinking it was just a really lame button masher beat em up combined with a wait around for the time to attack assasins creed type game.

The full game though is a lot larger and more indepth. A good combination of exploring, combat, puzzle solving. Plus it looks great and runs great, no a-la-crysis system demand problems.

Lots of batman mods, later today think I will plug in the Dark Knight costume mod.

Assassin's Creed didn't just consist of waiting for attacks in order to counterattack; offensive attacks were also possible and were never boring to watch. AC's timing-based click system is similar to the Witcher's and it works pretty well; it is simple, yet fun.

How does this ever get boring? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Exxb9Ys6hn4

Pretty easy actually, Assassins Creed got so boring so fast I didnt even get half way through the game. Plus I do quit games early sometimes if they get boring but always revisit them later to finish them. Assassins Creed however was so repetitive and boring to me that I never even have considered revisiting and finishing it.

Batman is the evolution of Assassins Creed, it is a lot better.

It is true that AC was repetitive, but I still loved the whole theme. Apparently AC2 will mix things up considerably and will work to solve some of the problems with that game.

So here is my first screen shot for Batman, click for a larger image.

    From 5760x1200 Screen Shots
Im trying to figure out how to upload a fraps video and get the HD link. Videos are HD if they upload at 1920x1080 or 1280x720.

My video recordings are at 5760x1200 lol so I have to find a way to letterbox it and upload it, probably going to be a lot of work.

I'll get more screen shots up later.

Edit: had to host it on my domain picasa down sizes it too much.

In this game you actually feel like the Dark Knight. The game reminds me of a Batman movie, but one you are actually taking part in.

It is one of the best games that I have ever played, the free DLC is great, especially the Insane challenge.

In my opinion, this game manages to encompass features of the animated series and the films together in its style, story telling and game play. For anyone who has not already purchased a copy, do yourself a favour and get it now!

I am also glad to say that this game has a dark and adult like theme which is great.

I hope the PC version sold very well. Anyone got NPC numbers? It's not just a typical port, it's very well polished. Doesn't help it's UE3.0 so it's automatically pretty efficient across older and newer hardware and looks nice doing it.

PC version sold well but a lot of bugs in it. It was really irritating for me when I could not grapple some walls.
